Boomer women really did do a number on the next generation. My husband and I recently ran into an older women who was commenting on how cute our sons were. We mentioned we were expecting again and she looked at us like we were crazy, then told my husband to stay away from me.
I smiled and said we were hoping to have a few more.
She did not take it well. A stranger, mind you.
I don't know if there's anything more unattractive than a woman, old or young, being so anti-babies.
On the other hand, there's nothing more wonderful than a woman, old or young, loving on little ones.
For as long as I live, I promise to never be the old woman on the airplane who glares at your kids for making noise. I will always be the one to smile at them, tell mom & dad they’re doing a good job, and see if I can help.
Our kids travel really well, but every negative interaction we have with them while flying has been with an older lady. Yesterday, our 18-month-old fussed during takeoff, and the woman in front of us made a huge, embarrassing show of plugging her ears and rolling her eyes. One time, a grumpy lady (complete with a yapping dog in her lap!) told my husband, “get it away from me!” referring to our baby he was quietly rocking in the aisle! More childish than actual children.
We blame Gen Z & millennials for our march to the left, but feminism has really done a number on the boomers.

Can we discuss the "smut" novels women are reading? Pornography is not good for men - we can recognize that. But for some reason, smut has become completely normalized for women. Women are literally reading graphic sex scenes in bed next to their husbands. Can you imagine a man doing the same thing with pornography on his phone and it just being considered...fine?
Pornography creates completely insane and unrealistic standards for what sex is really like, and smut works the same way. The relationships are not realistic - purposefully, because then how would it make a good plot - and the men are idealized beyond comprehension. And the sex scenes themselves only set women up for disappointment.
Is this going to be discussed, or are we all going to say books are books and reading is always a net positive?

Yes, men are visual creatures. I've said it before and I'll say it again. But there's a difference between embracing your femininity and being a sex object.
Dressing to accentuate your best features without showing a ton of skin, doing your hair and makeup, and looking pretty is a great avenue to initially catch a man's attention before he gets to know you! It's working with reality and using it to your advantage.
But being scantily clad is not embracing your femininity. That's just asking men to ogle you as nothing more than a hot body. It reduces you to your *assets* and that's it.
Women don't need to choose between looking like men and dressing like they're on OnlyFans.
The wise and wonderful middle ground is dressing beautifully and femininely to draw the male attention for the right purpose - for him to get to know YOU, the person, beyond the body that houses your soul.
