I had a interview today with a company and they offered me $155k. I answered every question thoroughly and crushed the coding assessment. I feel like $155k is way too low for what they’re asking for as a Senior Engineer so I’ll be negotiating. I need at least $200k.

What @SymoneBeez is doing is really inspiring She’s showing us how many different areas of tech you can get into and make life changing money. You get a chance to witness a glimpse of the lifestyle and freedom so many of us have in our tech careers. And we all didn’t just wake up making multiple six figures a year, we put in the time and the effort into developing our craft while staying consistent. Everything you’re seeing right now is showing you how possible it is for anyone to change their life in tech, you just have to want it bad enough to change your situation.

It's so much more than just registering with SAM. There are so many companies registered with SAM that aren't actively selling to the government. You need a fully defined capabilities statement, capabilities briefing, contract vehicles, certifications, facility clearances, and a process for researching awards. In addition, you need to determine if you're going the prime or subcontractor route, there's a ton of steps and isn't as simple as people think.

Transparency is so important when it comes to salaries. In the black community it has been statistically proven that we are behind economically compared to other ethnic groups. Sharing our salary stories isn't just about numbers it's about opportunity and inspiration. Let's turn envy from our hometowns into action. Ask how, not why transform that hate in your heart into hustle. We can leap economic hurdles by sharing our financial journeys. Knowledge is power, inspiration is priceless.

This AI shit y’all keep hyping up? 90% of it is automation cosplay. I pop on here between projects and all I see is sales bros cosplaying engineers — screenshotting the same tired n8n flow, sprinkling ā€˜AI’ on top like seasoning, and calling themselves builders. No agents. No reasoning. No context awareness. Just glorified automation flows dressed up for Twitter. I saw @100kAintNoMoney drop stats about Black men not being in high-income fields. I’m one of the exceptions. Not just in the room — I built the tools the room now depends on. So let me be clear: A lot of what’s being sold as ā€œAIā€ right now would fall apart in any real production environment. Enterprise teams would laugh you out the room. I’m done being silent. I’m making time to expose the fluff and highlight the real ones. If you’re about quality and not hype, call me forth. Let’s raise the bar. The bullshit ends now.

ANOTHER ONE ā€¼ļø I got some EXCITING news today One of my friends who was a DevOps Engineer for a number of years landed his first MLOps Engineer role But here’s the CRAZY thing he enrolled into an AI/ML program THREE months ago and still hasn’t finished yet It’s EVIDENT that if you’re already technical it’ll be somewhat EASY for you to transition into Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence With his new MLOps role he has transferrable skills that he can use from his days as a DevOps Engineer These transferrable skills will ALLOW him to support Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineers to deploy their models to production in the cloud It’s EXCITING to see how my guidance not only helped him open up doors to NEW opportunities But also equipped him with the SPECIALIZED skills and knowledge needed to EXCEL in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning I’m truly HONORED that I’m able to be a voice and provide guidance to others Seeing people EXCEL by sharing my knowledge and experience is a blessing to see AND this is only one person out of many that I’ve been guiding to their DESIRED situation I’m excited for what the future holds for those out there that actually LISTEN and take ACTION

If you want to make top dollar right now you should definitely focus on data related roles, artificial intelligence is meaningless without it.
