540hz felt like cheating…
It’s by far the HIGHEST skill ceiling upgrade possible.
It literally changes the way you aim.
To me:
240hz is 50% reactivity, 50% prediction.
360hz is 70% reactivity, 30% prediction.
540hz is 100% reactivity.
The biggest issue with 540hz was keeping your body healthy. You had to literally maintain your brain at 100% capacity, have no distractions, use supplements, and keep your reaction time at its lowest.
People often say it’s useless or not worth the money, but I’d say it’s like giving an f1 car to a regular driver.
They won’t know how to steer the damn thing and probably crash. In this instance it would be calling 540hz useless or not worth it.
I wish I could have another 540hz monitor, it’s the biggest step forward in gaming possible at this point.
If you aren’t improving and hit a road block, please buy one.

I just discovered that you can have undetectable ROTATIONAL aim assist through the game's settings.
You can force the look keybinds to apply mouse directional movements, either through macros or remap software's like REWASD.
This is just like old Apex Legends and Fortnite.

I don’t usually post my opinions…However,
Battlefield 6 matchmaking gives me a lot of hope for FPS. They can potentially nab a whole community of players.
COD is actively destroying their player count and franchise due to anti-consumer EOMM. This is the perfect timing for DICE.
It’s GENUINELY sad how aggressively Activision punishes you for performing decently.
Your reward is to fight UFC Champions while blindfolded, waterboarded and starved in a low oxygen environment. At worse, hackers even.
This caps the skill level artificially, and forces a consensus that you must play mediocrely to enjoy the game. This removes the fun and joy of trying your best, while incentivizing the lower skill bracket to perform worse subconsciously.
Battlefield 6 will employ “light matchmaking” supposedly, which is against the trend of algorithmically abusive data driven player manipulation.
This could be the win we need as consumers. I hope the game will sell itself and prove to investors in the gaming space that this is the way.

I use inverted colour and YUV44 colour format.
I maxed out digital vibrance on NVIDIA control panel and use 78° hue.
For some reason, these settings feel insane. It’s easier to remain calm in gunfights.

SPEED IS THE SKILL CEILING OF PERIPHERALS.

Just like mouse latency, fps, and reactivity, you usually want to limit extraneous factors for the most control the user can have.
If we had a zero friction surface, this would give the user total control of their mouse. And allow them to push the limits of mouse control. THEY would be in charge of stopping the mouse whenever they want, instead of the mousepad slowing it down.
This however, in practice, is very difficult because humans are not all very consistent. But thanks to aim training and the sharing of knowledge, I do believe that the push to higher sensitivities will persist.
Higher sensitivities take advantage of high reactivity and low friction. In fact, it feels contradicting.
(if you play on low friction, you actually want a faster sens for better mouse control.)
This is because when friction is removed, there's less resistance to fight against. This means slower, deliberate inputs become harder to perform precisely. A higher sens gives you more leverage over micro-corrections, as weird as that sounds.
It’s possible that we're seeing a shift in how humans interact with input. Part of me believes that thanks to higher refresh rates, lower latencies and higher fps, we are able to perceive more information at a faster rate. This allows leeway for higher sensitivities to feed us information faster and takes advantage of higher reactivity.
A recent example is the Shanghai CS major, where pros are on average increasing their polling rates. This is very peculiar, especially since CS is a TAC-FPS, which rewards control and smooth mouse movements more than other genres (holding angles etc).
We’re not just playing faster games, we’re becoming faster people.
What’s interesting is that the hardware (360hz+, 8k polling, glass pads, etc.) is reaching a point where the input ceiling is no longer the device, it's you. The user. Your ability to stop, start, correct, track, and adjust at speed.
And most people can’t. Not yet.
Human inconsistency is the last real bottleneck. But with tools like aim trainers and sharing of knowledge, even that is starting to fade. It makes me think we’re entering a new phase where average players will begin using "unstable" setups that used to be seen as too fast, too twitchy and training into them.
Control is still useful for players who want to perform well in the current meta. They might care less about reactivity or pushing mouse skill ceilings, and more about consistency, crosshair placement, and wider strategy. But that doesn’t mean the ceiling isn’t rising.
You can chase performance or you can chase the ceiling.
Sometimes they overlap. Most of the time, they don’t.

If your mouse has a TURBO MODE / 20k FPS mode,
TURN IT ON!!!!!
It does not cause ANY problems whatsoever to your pc like polling rate does. But makes your aim CRACKEDDD.
Scan rate and polling rate are two very different things.
Scan rate is how often your sensor is picking up adjustments. (20,000 times a second vs default 8,000)
Polling rate is how often your mouse is sending those adjustments to your pc.
You can have both 8k polling rate and 20k scan rate at the same time, they do not cancel each other out but benefit each other.
Personally I run both 8k polling and 20k fps mode on every mouse with good high polling stability. It’s incredible how responsive the sensor feels, especially at higher DPI.
TLDR: Scan rate is accuracy, polling rate is how often data is being sent to pc. (No impact to performance, only benefits.)

That’s not the point.. of course you can hit a predictable flick.
The whole point of 540hz is the ability to be purely REACTIVE. It unlocks a new skill ceiling for mechanical skills where you can become much more consistent at hitting shots like these.
