SEC officiating has been a running joke for a long time. On Saturday, it cost No. 22 Auburn an upset win against No. 11 Oklahoma with two incredibly bad calls.
Greg Sankey needs to finally fix this, but that's as likely as a SEC ref getting a call right.

Auburn players used some of their NIL money along with the contributions from Hugh and Jill Freeze to help 13 families stay out of foster care last week.
If you have Auburn at No. 9 in your AP Poll this week, you either have a grudge against either Auburn or Bruce Pearl or you are extremely dumb when it comes to basketball.
Those are the only two ways to explain your vote.
Was in Auburn team hotel when I saw Chad Baker-Mazara run up to someone and give a big long embrace.
His father surprised him by flying in for the weekend. CBM had no idea.
Hugh Freeze and several of his staff members made an appearance at Baumhower’s last night where more than 100 high school coaches from around the state were attending a private party.
They spent a considerable amount of time talking to each and every coach there.
Give yourself a large round of applause, Auburn fans.
You have a Duke athletic director mad about how many Tiger fans were in Cameron Indoor on Wednesday.
Bruce Pearl refused to answer my question about John Calipari’s ridiculous quote about banning screens today, focusing on Auburn and matchup against Missouri.
Calipari is still talking about Auburn tonight on the radio.
Yeah. Pearl and the Tigers are in Calipari’s head.
Being in a bar when a brawl breaks out is being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Caught outside in a thunderstorm? Wrong place at wrong time.
Bringing a gun to a friend who intends on using it is NOT wrong place at wrong time. What an idiotic statement by Nate Oats.
Bruce Pearl starts out press conference noting that Johni Broome is the first player in Auburn basketball history to be named National Player of the Year.
"That's significant."
This picture says all you need to know about the quality of people that Tahaad Pettiford and Greg McDermott are.
Both are absolutely class acts.

Each Freeze daughter has designed a suit for Coach Hugh Freeze. He’s wearing the one designed by his youngest, Madison, today. It has his and her initials as well has her birth date sewn in.
ABC just showed a graphic that said "Auburn miscues" and then showed the fumble.
"Big moments missed by the Tigers." - Greg McElroy
No, it wasn't. It was awful officiating.
Interesting quote from Rivaldo Fairweather following today's game:
"A lot of loose leashes around here on this team that we need to get rid of and just find a group of people that's going to really come together as a team and lock in."
What a week for @CoachHughFreeze. Flips two recruits from Auburn’s biggest rivals, gets other commits and wins the club championship in the first flight at the Auburn University Club. 🥶🥶🥶🥶
Lost in all the chaos of Pearlville and the Auburn-Kentucky matchup tomorrow?
Suni Lee, the reigning Olympic gold medalist in the all-around (aka best gymnast in the world), is making her home debut tonight in Auburn Arena.
What a 24 hours for the Plains.
Dylan Cardwell could have transferred or hung up his cleats.
Instead, the Auburn center is playing the best basketball of his career while serving as the heartbeat and fan favorite of the No. 2 Tigers.
"That's my brother," Johni Broome said.

“Hi. I’m Greg McElroy. I was more ready for the NFL than Cam Newton. I don’t think Nick Marshall was a good quarterback. Bo Nix won’t improve in his sophomore year.
Also, will you please watch me throw this 4-yard screen to Julio Jones and him take it 67 yards for the TD?”
"I just think Hugh is a great fit for Auburn. He understands the SEC. He's going to hire a great staff. He has a great family. He's a great Christian man. He's asked for grace. He's going to be given grace here."
- Bruce Pearl on @CoachHughFreeze
A couple just gave $20 million ($20 MILLION!) to Auburn basketball, and some are griping because they will have to call the arena a new name.
Some people refuse to be happy. That must be an extremely crappy way to live.
Sources say Oregon was interested in Auburn wide receiver coach Marcus Davis, but the Tigers got a deal done today to keep Davis on the Plains.
Huge keep for Hugh Freeze.
SOURCE: Brian Battie is still in the ICU. He’s able to move his hands but doctors are unable to figure out much brain functionality he will have at this moment.
This paragraph by @eamonlynch on Phil Mickelson/Saudi Tour is quite possibly the best thing I have read in quite some time, especially with the jab at Greg Norman.
Per sources, Gus Malzahn was involved in a car accident on Monday night in Auburn. A man was lifted away in a helicopter.
We are not sure of how Malzahn was involved (driver, passenger, other car, etc...) but we can report that he was involved. Updates as we get them.
NEWS: The NCAA has announced these 11 officials have been selected to work the Final Four in San Antonio:
Roger Ayers
James Breeding
AJ Desai
Courtney Green
Ronald Groover
Michael Irving
Keith Kimble
Terry Oglesby
Tony Padilla
Doug Shows
Doug Sirmons
Rick Pitino and Will Wade are both coaching in the NCAA Tournament this year yet Austin Wiley and Danjel Purifoy had to sit out almost an entire season due to the actions of an assistant coach.
Hypocrisy, thy name is the @NCAA.
ESPN trying to compare Auburn and Duke at halftime:
Auburn: 14-2 in Quad1 games
Duke: 5-3 in Quad1 games.
Sure, the Blue Devils won the head-to-head battle in Durham, but come on. No one is close to Auburn’s resume.
Let's just say it: Auburn got screwed by the committee. Finished tied for second in SEC regular season, won the tournament and was top five in NET.
But sure, put them in the East Region with the top overall seed UConn. Bruce Pearl has to be furious.
"He kicked today and made every single kick, I believe. He looks really good."
Alex McPherson is back and kicking for Auburn after missing almost all of last season with an illness.

The best part of this (other than Jabari's dunk, of course) is the reaction of both Zep Jasper and K.D. Johnson when they knew what was about to happen.
Quick thoughts:
1. Auburn's inability to keep opponents off the offensive glass continues to kill them.
2. Missing free throws in the second half absolutely hurt.
3. Chad Baker-Mazara continues to hurt his team with his selfish antics.
4. What, exactly, is taunting?
Reason for DJ Durkin's raise and extension?
Per sources, it was because Ohio State came in with an offer trying to pry him away from Auburn. Hugh Freeze wasn't going to let that happen.
Players were in tears. Hugh Freeze's eyes looked like he had joined them.
Yes, the loss to UGA hurts right now for Auburn players and fans, but the hope and belief in this football team and program has been restored after Saturday.

Thoughts on Bo Nix transferring:
1. He wants a shot at another school and he deserves that.
2. You might question his results during the past 3 years, but he never gave less than 100% for Auburn.
3. Behind a good offensive line, he will be productive.
Wish him the best.
Hugh Freeze mentioned earlier this week that he was up at 4:30 am on Tuesday due to wanting to be the first head coach to call all of the top recruits in the 2025 class.
So many angry Tennessee fans in my mentions right now.
Steven Pearl works his ass off and deserves to celebrate. He’s a key piece to Auburn’s coaching staff. Get over it.
Probably shouldn't comment, but will anyway.
Hugh and his family have been great friends for several years. It wasn't easy covering him, especially at my alma mater, as I am sure I ruffled some feathers.
Football is football, but it isn't indicative of the person he is.
Robby Ashford, Zach Calzada and TJ Finley all playing on the same day.
It's like an Auburn version of a Christmas Carol where they just show how bad it was in the past.
