That will do it. The Golden Egg returns to Starkville. State's players make their way to the Ole Miss student section, somebody just threw a chair at them.
I am not kidding.
Guys, just some advice for today. I am sure rumors will be flying. If you see a tweet from someone you don't know or an anonymous message board post, you don't have to believe it. Nobody is going to release any info before MSU does, and that will come from the Leach family.
Good morning. Mississippi State threw for 623 yards in a 44-34 win over the defending national champions LSU in Tiger Stadium yesterday. Enjoy your Sunday.
I keep seeing these Ole Miss fans saying they live rent free in MSU fan's heads. Well of course they do. What kind of father would charge his son rent?
So after you did this interview, I reached out to Coach Leach and told him my wife makes Almond Joy cookies and would he like some, he obviously said yes. She brought them to him the next week, and I got a call "Brian these cookies are OUTSTANDING, I may have already eaten six."
I've been in this stadium many times. Been to some big games. When I tell you the bells are loud and we aren't even a third full, you know I'm speaking from experience.
I invited Joe to my annual Christmas party. He and his wife showed up and sat with us for awhile. There may be some better coaches, but there are few better men than @BallCoachJoeMo.
OPINION: As Joe Moorhead gets ready to leave Starkville (he's been here all this time), one final farewell to a guy that left many in this town better off for having met him.

I stopped this vehicle today for a left lane violation on I-65. The driver had approximately 20 cars slowed behind her because she would not move back to the right lane.
Again...if there are vehicles behind you, you must move to the right lane to allow them to pass.
Imagine me telling you a year ago State would play LSU and have 16 rushes for 9 yards. What would you have predicted the score to be? LSU 52-0?
It is a new day at Mississippi State.
Tomorrow at noon, Mississippi State will officially introduce Mike Leach as head football coach. The public is invited, please don't dress as a pirate. That last part is from me.
Final from Davis Wade Stadium. To quote the GOAT Jack Cristil "The Bulldogs have snatched victory from the jaws of defeat." Mississippi State 24 Arizona State 20
Jim Ellis has been the voice of spring for basically my entire life. He is synonymous with Mississippi State baseball the way Will Clark, Rafael Palmeiro, and Jake Mangum are. Dudy Noble Field will forever echo with his voice.
After 46 years behind the mic, Jim Ellis announces his retirement. On behalf of the Mississippi State Family, Thank You for all you have done for the Bulldogs.

There are games to be played and won, but the start of the Zach Arnett era at Mississippi State has been nothing but successful thus far in my opinion.
Coach Mike Leach will be posthumously honored by the American Heart Association with the Bear Bryant Heart of a Champion Award.

Herbstreit takes A&M to cover because Mississippi State's offense "isn't the same on the road." In State's one road game this year, they had 455 yards of offense and 34 points in a game where they stopped trying in the fourth quarter.
What?
I don't normally tweet political news, but I have breaking information, after a recount, AJ Brown's victory as mayor of Starkville has been overturned.
I have seen so much about LSU and how many starters they lost. Here's MSU's final starting lineup of the season last year. Notice it doesn't include Willie Gay, who played in the bowl game, or Cam Dantzler or Brian Cole III, who had declared for the draft.
You know how I can tell Mississippi State football is relevant again? My mentions are full of other team's fans explaining why State shouldn't be ranked.
Really nice gesture by Kiffin to retweet this, shows that regardless of the player's decision, he can be happy for a young man who gets to live out his dream.
PETA just sent a PR email calling for Mississippi State to retire Jak the live mascot following Auburn game.
"It was sheer luck that this close call didn't leave Jak severely injured or even dead."
They seem to be underestimating the toughness of Jak.
🚨NEW🚨 Mississippi State WR Zavion Thomas has withdrawn his name from the NCAA transfer portal, per @mzenitz.
Thomas was a four-star recruit in 2022 and the Bulldogs' primary punt returner this past season.

At this point guys, I'm going to be really, really, really surprised if it isn't Jeff Lebby. Everything I am hearing is leaning that way. Doesn't mean anything is done or official, but that's my prediction folks.
