Every year I try and remove a bad habit to replace with a good habit. This year I wanted a checklist I could easily look over that reminds me of things I shouldn't have in my life. Most people wouldn't know that I struggle with anxiety. During my research, I found 40 habits I didn't realize that cause anxiety. I'm going to print this off and read it every morning. I thought this may be useful to other entrepreneurs. Bookmark it if you want to come back and print it off. Are there any I missed that you struggle with? 1. Sports Betting - Risky behavior leading to financial instability. 2. Ignoring Finances - Poor money management increases stress and uncertainty. 3. Over Promising - Creates overwhelming pressure and damages credibility. 4. Avoiding Hard Decisions - Leads to prolonged uncertainty and bigger problems. 5. Skipping Sleep - Chronic fatigue diminishes productivity and mental clarity. 6. Negative Self-Talk - Erodes confidence and creates self-doubt. 7. Procrastination - Delays lead to mounting stress and missed deadlines. 8. Overworking Without Boundaries - Leads to burnout and strained relationships. 9. Micromanaging and Fear of Delegation - Adds unnecessary workload and tension. 10. Chasing Shiny Objects - Constantly shifting focus derails progress. 11. Overindulging in Alcohol or Addictive Behaviors - Impairs judgment and health. 12. Comparing to Others - Fosters insecurity and distracts from personal growth. 13. Taking Criticism Personally - Inhibits growth and creates unnecessary stress. 14. Ignoring Feedback - Prevents improvement and fosters insecurity. 15. Underpricing Services - Leads to financial strain and undervaluation. 16. Overloading with Tasks - Feeling overwhelmed increases daily stress. 17. Avoiding Conflict - Allows issues to fester and worsen over time. 18. Ignoring Red Flags - Avoiding problems adds to future anxiety. 19. Skipping Workouts and Physical Activity - Impacts both mental and physical health. 20. Lack of Planning - Creates uncertainty and last-minute panic. 21. Skipping Professional Development - Falling behind industry trends causes stress. 22. Disorganized Workspace - Clutter reduces productivity and mental clarity. 23. Dwelling on Failures - Prevents forward momentum and increases anxiety. 24. Overthinking Decisions - Wastes time and adds unnecessary pressure. 25. Avoiding Networking - Missed opportunities lead to isolation and stagnation. 26. Not Setting Priorities - Wasted effort on non-essential tasks. 27. Chronic Multitasking - Reduces efficiency and creates mental overload. 28. Surrounding Yourself with Negative People - Drains motivation and fosters doubt. 29. Overcommitting Socially - Leaves little room for rest or focus. 30. Skipping Breaks - Leads to mental fatigue and reduced performance. 31. Ignoring Legal or Tax Responsibilities - Causes unnecessary last-minute panic. 32. Staying in Toxic Relationships - Drains energy and negatively impacts focus. 33. Overreliance on Validation - Creates dependency and insecurity. 34. Not Setting Boundaries - Leads to exhaustion and resentment over time. 35. Obsessing Over Results - Adds unnecessary pressure and distraction. 36. Skipping Reflection or Gratitude - Missed opportunities for growth and positivity. 37. Neglecting Family Relationships - Strains emotional support systems. 38. Avoiding New Challenges - Limits growth and fosters stagnation. 39. Imposter Syndrome - Chronic self-doubt prevents confidence and momentum. 40. Ignoring Mental Health - Avoiding therapy or coping mechanisms increases stress.

Hello to all my new followers, I wanted to properly introduce myself and connect with you more. My wife and I have owned our business together for 15 years now. We owned a fitness business before starting online. I'm from Michigan, to Florida, and now North Carolina. Have two daughters. Previous hockey player. I'm a Christian. I stopped cussing 6 years ago. Haven't watched the news in 3 years. Live on a golf course (our house gets hit all the time). Pickleball player. I get anxiety before meetings. I get really bad anxiety before in-person meetings. My favorite thing to do is build businesses. Mountain biker. Over 100k subs on YouTube (my daughters think it's cool). I'm the worst at dad jokes. I genuinely enjoy helping people which sometimes hinders our business growth. Making this post was uncomfortable. Would love to hear more about you, what's your story?

In this video, I'm going to be sharing a mini-guide on how to get more followers on X using Twitter ads. We've ran this exact system with a B2B client over the last 30-days to share the results. → Spend: $395.30 → Impressions: 12,967,962 → Link clicks: 3,499 → Profile Visits: 12,325 → Email newsletter subscribers: 130+/day → New followers: 2,930 → Cost per link click $0.08 🤯 → Cost per follow: $0.23 🤯 → Sales: $23,518 → ROAS: 59.5 → Ad account shutdowns: 0 🤣 We are doing this strategy for 10+ clients right now who have switched from Meta to X ads. A few clients it's working for: + 3 e-Commerce clients + 1 local business + 4 Entrepreneurs + 2 Agencies Let me know in the comments if this is helpful. I'll send you my free blueprint on how to follow-up on X, and also send you a free advertising credit X is giving away to get started.

The weirdest moment in my business wasn’t when I lost money. It was when I finally got everything I thought I wanted… and still felt empty. That’s when I realized freedom isn’t found in what you earn, it’s found in what no longer owns you. Now I build from peace, not pressure. And somehow, everything feels lighter because of it.

YouTube is NOT ready for me in 2025! Be different... Think this will work? Everyone is saying - long videos, lifestyle, generalize so everyone can find you. I'm going against the norm. Think of the most boring Netflix show you've ever watched. And then think of the most practical business book you've ever read. Last but not least, think of learning something actionable in 3 minutes. Here's an example "How to grill a burger on a Blackstone grill" - In less than 3 minutes you would know how to grill a hamburger on a Blackstone grill. Here's the schedule ↓ • Monday: Marketing Automation • Wednesday: X (Twitter) Advertising • Friday: YouTube Advertising While everyone is worried about fancy thumbnails, cool icons zooming in on the screen, and chatting about their theories. I'll be giving a small audience the exact steps they can implement themselves in less than 3 minutes. P.S. Tag your YT channel below so we can all subscribe and support each other.

12 years ago we were running a very successful local fitness company called Xpert Training. I didn’t realize the power of the internet until my mentor got my website ranked #1 on Google in our city. It wasn’t until we were in a horrific car accident that forced us to sell the fitness business. But now what? I knew I loved helping people, but couldn’t stand on my feet for over an hour because of 13 herniated discs. I started learning everything from my mentor about websites and Google. And that’s when we started AutomationLinks. Since then I’ve helped over 6,000 businesses and nonprofits build a website and rank it on Google. Now I’m building playbooks they can copy into their business to get the same results. This is allowing me to help even more people instead of having to work one-on-one with each person. I care about your success just like my mentor did for me. It would mean the world to me if you followed me, shared this post, and ask me any questions you have about marketing so I can help you also šŸ’™

Hey there, thanks for checking out my profile šŸ‘ I'm Brad Smith, and I've been doing this internet marketing stuff for the last 15 years. But my journey wasn’t exactly planned. After a bad car accident, my wife and I had to sell our fitness business and figure out how to rebuild everything online. Today, we’re cofounders of a nonprofit, real estate investments, and a marketing agency. Our nonprofit gives away all of my training and coaching for just $1/month to help more people grow and give back. If you’re new to my page, swing by and say hello so I can follow you back. In this video, I explain more about our nonprofit community. It would be great to have you! A few cool accomplishments: - 100k subscribers on YouTube - Helped 2,500+ brands scale online - 30,000+ email subscribers - Cofounder with my wife - Two daughters - Creator of the Relationship Marketing Podcast I just love helping others and sharing what I learn along the way. I’d love to hear more about you. Leave a comment under this video with your newsletter, YouTube channel, or anything else I can sign up for to support you.

So, it’s now free… Can I give this to you free of charge? Comment and share to return the love šŸ’™

It takes about 10 weeks to start seeing results from X (Twitter) advertising. But once the ads start rolling, you’ll change your mind about advertising here. Below is a case study from our newsletter client, brand new to X. Starting with a new account is harder, but as you’ll see—it’s worth the wait. Results: • Followers: From 0 to 3,200 in just three months • Impressions: 31,732,865 total impressions • Media Views: 45,800 • Reposts: 2.3K • Email Subscribers: 2,147 • Open Rate: 48.3% • Advertising Spend: $1,286 • Cost Per Subscriber: $0.60 • Cost Per Follower: $0.40 Subscriber Growth (Month over Month): • Month 1: 0–715 subscribers • Month 2: 715–1,430 subscribers • Month 3: 1,430–2,147 subscribers • Percentage Growth: 200% growth over 3 months If you already have an aged X account, you'll see these results a bit faster. Here are a few things that work: • Avoid asking for the click right away. • Focus on gaining quality followers. • Encourage clicks through a DM or the link in your bio. • Retarget users with engagement campaigns. • Build personal relationships. • Keep posting valuable content consistently. • Trust that they'll click the link when they're ready. X ads require a different approach than most platforms. To make them work for you, you'll need strategy, testing, and a strong emphasis on relationship building. Once you identify some winning strategies, you'll be set to scale. If you have any questions about X ads, feel free to ask in the comments. If you found this valuable, please bookmark it!

Law firm: 'We get leads but no shows' Me: 'Give me 60 days' Before: • 4,500 visitors • 83 leads • Only 3 showing up to calls 😱 The mistakes: • No email reminders • No retargeting • No SMS follow-up Here's the exact gameplan that fixed it: 1. Cut ad spend 50% (Yes, lower budget = better results) 2. Stripped landing page to basics (Shorter = Higher conversion) 3. Added personal video on thank you page (Builds instant connection) 4. Quick qualifying questions before booking (Filters tire-kickers) 5. Smart retargeting (Stay top-of-mind) 6. 2 automated email reminders (Not too many, not too few) 7. 1 SMS 15min before call (Because we're all forgetful) Target for next 30 days: • 4,500 visitors • 150 leads • 50 booked calls I'll keep you posted. Anything I should add to continue to improve this?

Didn't post yesterday, was too busy meeting people in real life. It’s been a crazy week opening the new office. Shoutout to my wife and business partner, Danielle, who designed every inch of the new space. The reactions when people walk in are, ā€œWOW!ā€ Last week, one of my first X friends in real life, @trentjhughes and @niconley stopped in the office to support us. On Thursday, a new local friend, @albert_steed stopped in for lunch and we had great discussions about leadership with partners. And on Friday, I met a new local friend that just moved to Wilmington, @joebasile who the OG @TS_Secrets introduced me to (Hector, I had to slide your picture in there 🤣). To my surprise @EthanDriskill is real, and we took a picture to prove it! With his busy family schedule, we were starting to think he was a ghostšŸ˜‚. Shoutout to Trenton and @Tribefounders for building an online community of great people, and @jasonmpearl for helping put together local chapters. A quote I've been focused in on this year is: "Most people race to the top to accomplish their goals. The real impact comes from helping others get there first." As you are busy building your online empire, don't forget about your local friends. They could be your biggest supporters.

My life has changed in the last 6 months ā¤ļø This is what I changed: 1. I haven't watched the news since Oct. 2022. 2. I deleted all social media from my phone (use on laptop only). 3. Started waking up at 5am (instead of 7). 4. Scheduled 1hr workouts 5 days a week (lost 30lbs). 5. Before making any decision, I started asking if it would make God proud of me. Don't wait for life to change, change it first to improve your life.

After one of the most stressful weeks I've had in business, I had to share this. Joining the @Tribefounders this year has been one of the best investments. I needed help yesterday, texted a member of the Tribe @petercnordberg and he immediately responded and helped me out. From my experience, I could literally do that with any member of the Tribe, including @trentjhughes the founder. Not only that, it feels like every member of the Tribe is on my team. They could do the same to me, reach out and I'll be the most supportive to their needs as well. Having an army of friends that have your back is priceless. Thanks @trentjhughes @Tribefounders and everyone who is part of it!

This morning was brutal. Last week was a struggle. We lost money last month. The founders (yes, us) argued about strategy. Our ROI was negative. But you'll never see most founders admit this stuff. They only show the wins, the celebrations, the "crushing it" posts. That's not leadership, that's performance. Here's what I'm changing in our business: I'm done with the highlight reel. I'm going to start sharing the real struggles. The difficult decisions. The sleepless nights. The fights about direction. Because that's what actually running a business looks like. Especially when you have a family depending on you. Employees counting on you. Customers trusting you. You want to know what real leadership looks like? It's telling the truth about the journey from point A to point B. Not just hyping people up and watching them crash when reality hits. The question is: Do you want to follow someone who shows you the real path, or someone who just shares Stripe snapshots?

They Never Commented. Never Followed. Never Subscribed. But They Watched Every Video. You know what's crazy? I was on a sales call and the guy says, "I've watched all seven of your YouTube videos on how to set up Twitter ads. Three months later, I realized... I'm never going to do it. Can you just do it for me?" - He never liked. - Never commented. - Never followed. But he watched every second. For three months. That’s the secret no one talks about. Followers don’t matter anymore. The algorithm pushes content to the right people. One post can reach 10 million — even if you have 10 followers. Here’s what most business owners miss: 1. People need to see you 24 times 2. On 3 different platforms 3. Before they trust you enough to buy That’s not selling. That’s building relationships. That’s why my clients say: "Man, I’ve seen you everywhere. I watch your videos. I get your emails. I’m ready to sign up." No pitch. No pressure. Just education and showing up — again and again. And the wild part? Even when you teach everything for free... 99% won’t do it. Because they don’t have the time. But when they realize they can afford it — they call you. 1. Educate 2. Play hard to get 3. Set up your ecosystem — videos, emails, retargeting 4. Become the guy people refer "I got a guy." — that’s the goal. Because marketing isn’t about chasing anymore... It’s about being everywhere — without saying a word. P.S. these are the exact words we said on a Zoom call with @AustinLinney - thanks for the content šŸ˜‡

Plot twist: Your product isn't failing. Your storytelling is. Spend 6 months perfecting a "life-changing" product. Post feature lists. Benefits. Sale prices. Nothing. Here’s how it usually goes: Have a big idea about a great product that could help a lot of people. Do some research to see if other people are doing this yet. Get excited. Start creating a product around it. Post about the product. Get a few supportive comments. Launch the product. So excited to make a few sales and see people start using it. No likes, comments, or purchases. The product must not be good enough yet. Work on the product more to improve it. Get excited because the product is good enough now. Post about it. One comment. Zero sales. Maybe I didn't post about it enough. Post about all the benefits. One friend buys it. Awesome. Post some more. No purchases. Work on the product again to improve it. Must be the product. Post about it more. Lose a few followers. Take a break, maybe it was a bad idea. Come back to share your story about trying to create a new product and failing. Talk about how hard you worked on a new product. Share the pain points you were trying to solve. About to give up. Purchase. Purchase. Purchase. Talk about that story more. Share more pain points. Show yourself building in public. Purchase. Purchase. Purchase. The product is probably awesome now. Post a huge sale offering about the product. No purchases. Share about the failed product sale. Purchase. Purchase. Purchase. Pattern? Go back to what worked. Share your story. Make it relatable. Don't sell. This is my story, these are your pain points, here is the outcome.

Huge shoutout to my team - We did it! šŸŽ‰ Our goal was to beat least years revenue numbers, and we crushed it. Here's what we added differently in 2024: * YouTube Ads * 28 New Automated Emails * New CRM + System * Increased Ad Spend $40k/mo to $80k/mo * ROAS from 8.00 to 12.00 We invested in this company a few years ago and have helped it scale year after year. Additionally, we just invested in our third company last month. I saw a huge opportunity with them and knew for a fact our team could help them scale. I'll be posting about the growth of our new investment over the next few months.

Over the past year we've spent thousands on X ads. I've seen many people say "X ads don't work." Instead of guessing, I decided to test it for myself. Here are a few stats we've found: • Cost per new follower is $0.03 • Cost per website click is $0.54 • It costs $30 to get 1 million impressions on a post • Cost per newsletter subscriber is $0.84 We did not get these results when we first started. It's taken time to find winning formulas. Now that we are seeing these results we've decided to go all in. I wanted to share a few helpful tips with you so you can try it for yourself. 1} Target Your Ideal Audience • Begin by identifying and targeting your ideal audience. When choosing your audiences only use ā€œfollower-lookalikesā€ and steal your perfect audience from other accounts. • Tip: Segment your audience by country and age for more effective targeting, ensuring you reach the right people and avoid wasted ad spend. • Achieve as low as $0.03 per follower by refining your audience targeting. 2} Test and Optimize Creatives • Test 10-20 different creatives, including various headlines, images, and call-to-actions, to see what resonates with your audience. Once you identify the winners, increase your budget on those ads. Continuously test to stay ahead. • Tip: Incorporate images, guides, short videos, and long videos to determine which elements drive the most engagement and conversions. • Spend only $15-$20 per ad group to identify winning creatives that can be scaled for greater impact. 3} Engage to Build Relationships • Focus on relationship-building with your new audience. Use engaging content like videos and free resources that align with your brand’s message to foster trust. Allocate 60% of your budget to attract new followers and people you can follow-up with. • Tip: Offer educational content, such as downloadable guides or exclusive tips, to position yourself as an authority in your niche and build long-term brand advocates. • This will allow you to increase your followers and retargeting audience by 72% to enhance your bottom of funnel ads. 4} Retarget for Maximum Impact • Retarget your audience with ads tailored to those who have already engaged with your content. Implement advanced retargeting strategies by showing ads to people who follow you or have engaged with your previous ads. This ensures they see your message multiple times, solidifying their relationship with your brand. • Tip: Use personalized messages that resonate more deeply with your audience for higher conversion rates. • Achieve up to a 16x return on ad spend (ROAS) by focusing on high-intent users through targeted retargeting. 5} Ask for the Sale • Now that your audience knows and trusts you, it's time to ask for the sale. Keep the message relevant and consistent with what you've been promoting. Now that they trust you and have been following your account you can simply ask them to buy something or schedule a call with you. • Tip: Use clear and compelling calls-to-action (CTAs) that make it easy for the customer to complete the purchase. • Retargeted ads have a 70% higher chance of converting, especially when paired with time-sensitive offers. - If you are sick of Facebook ads, want more followers, or need to make some sales, try these tips. Would you ever try X ads for your business?

They’ll Never Like Your Post… But They’ll Buy From You. You’re posting. You’re showing up. But the people actually buying? They’re silent. 10 years. Thousands of posts. And one hilarious truth: - The people liking, commenting, and hyping you up? Most of them will never buy. - The people watching from the shadows, never engaging? Those are your real buyers. Your biggest clients aren’t debating in the comments. They’re scrolling, studying, analyzing—deciding if they trust you enough to buy. Most business owners post for engagement. The smart ones post for authority. Instead of chasing likes, build trust. Instead of begging for comments, be consistent. Instead of worrying about who’s watching, talk to the ghosts. Because when they’re ready, they won’t DM. They won’t ask for a call. They’ll show up already decided. Keep posting for the ghosts.

STOP! Don't Hit That Promote Button on X! It’s like tossing your money into a slot machine and hoping for the best. Try this instead… Here is how to turn your post into an ad that actually reaches the right people—without wasting a dime on bots. 1. Click "More" → "Ads" to access your Ad Account Manager. 2. If you don’t have one yet, it’ll prompt you to create it (ignore the promotable tweet—skip that step). 3. Set up your campaign: Name it, target entrepreneurs, and add the date to track performance. 4. Budget - start with around $5/day that's usually all you need to start driving traffic. 5. Keep it at max reach, pay per impression, and target the right age, gender, and language. 6. Choose up to five locations where your audience is most likely to buy. 7. Build a laser-targeted audience using follower lookalikes, interests, and conversation topics (this is the real game-changer). Pro tip: Retarget people who’ve engaged with your posts before. Now, here’s where the magic happens… Instead of creating a new ad, use your pinned tweet to stack engagement, build social proof, and show authority. The result? - More visibility. - More REAL people engaging with your content. - More ideal customers seeing your message—without burning money on bots. This is how you turn X into a lead-generating machine instead of a guessing game. Test it out and let me know how it goes!

One person can build a business, but two can create a legacy. How do you work together without killing each other? That’s the question we get asked all the time. Here's what we’ve learned ↓ It’s not always easy. Early on, we had our challenges—miscommunication, being headstrong, and stubbornness (me😐). But here's the truth: when we weren’t working together, everything felt harder. When we aligned as a team, everything changed. - We stopped reacting and started listening. - We recognized that our strengths filled gaps—and vice versa. - We learned that every challenge was a lesson waiting to grow us. Over the last 15 years, we’ve built not just a marriage, but a business that thrives because we treat everyone—our team, clients, and partners—like they’re part of it too. The secret? Always remembering we’re on the same team. Using challenges as stepping stones, not barriers. Believing two minds are always better than one. It’s the same approach we bring to our clients: find the weak points, build them into strengths, and grow together. That’s how we’ve done it. That’s how we help others do it too. Your biggest lesson might just come from your toughest challenge. Would you ever work with your spouse?

Making YouTube videos is hard. Your first 10 videos will probably suck. I laugh when I watch this video I made 7 years ago. But when I look back at how many clients I've received from it, I stop laughing and start smiling. If I had to estimate, this video has probably made me $790,000+ over the last 7 years. I want to encourage you to start making personal style videos that build relationships with your ideal clients. What's stopping you from making your first video?

Before I judge someone, I remind myself… We never know what someone is going through behind the scenes. This week, a long-time client snapped at me because I didn’t respond within 24 hours. What he didn’t know? That entire day I was sitting in doctor appointments with my wife… And the past two weeks were some of the hardest I’ve faced personally. Was his reaction fair? No. Did it hurt? Absolutely. But instead of getting angry, I paused and thought: Maybe he’s dealing with something too. Maybe he’s stressed, overwhelmed, or hurting in ways I can’t see. Here’s what I’ve learned: Patience costs you nothing. Empathy can change everything. In business and life… - People will disappoint you. - Things won’t go as planned. - Not everyone will treat you right. But how you respond is what builds your character — and your reputation. You don’t have to accept disrespect. But you also don’t have to carry bitterness. Stay patient. Show grace. Keep building relationships with people who value it. Because at the end of the day… Business is just people. And people are all fighting battles we know nothing about.

The best part about being an entrepreneur is having the ability to be intentional on where you live. We wanted to live on the water in St. Pete FL, and now in North Carolina. I haven't been building my online business for the last 10 years to make more money. I've been building it to have freedom. Freedom to invest in people. This week, we've been able to help a family of 6 that lost EVERYTHING in the hurricane. God has blessed us with the opportunity to provide: - Free housing at our investment property - Unlimited food - Unlimited Clothes - Time and hope Entrepreneurship has given us the opportunity to invest in people while also giving us the time to help any day of the week we are needed. Just so you all know, I'm building my business and my personal brand so I can help more people when they need it most. Are you with me?

He sells mattresses & pillows on X (Twitter), and it all started with the family business. Nick, the mattress guy, hit me up last week, He was coming into town and wanted to check out the new office. So of course I wanted him to be on the 2nd podcast recorded here. Then I said, bring your dad Kevin! I sat down with @mattressguy_ and his dad, Kevin, on Saturday and asked him why I should buy my next mattress from them. Family business. Good times. Bad times. And now selling through the internet. Relationships first. Rooting for the good guys. If you haven't changed your mattress in the last five years, you know it's something you use every day, right? You change your toothbrush. Change your shoes. Buy new shirts. Even get a new car. But you don’t upgrade something you use every day that affects your health? I never even thought about it that way. Thanks for coming on the show Nick and Kevin, you guys were awesome. Will be releasing the full show soon. When was the last time you got a new mattress?

I’ve been studying some of the biggest leaders. Here’s what they have in common — and what I’ve been adding into my life, my content, how I lead my team, and how I speak to others: 1. Embrace the struggle: Don’t ask "why me?" Ask what’s God teaching me? Pressure doesn’t crush leaders—it reveals them. 2. Get ready before you’re rewarded: God won’t give you more until you can handle it. Discipline comes first, then growth. 3. Stop chasing, start becoming: Success isn’t a finish line. It’s the result of becoming someone who can sustain it. 4. Reject shortcuts: Every moment you’re tested is training. Put in the work when it’s quiet so you don’t break when it’s loud. 5. Trust God’s timing: If you don’t have it yet, it’s because He’s still building you. Wait longer, patience is key. Try this: Instead of copying trends, start setting your own. I challenge you to lead, not follow... Are you with me?

I was on 24 Zoom calls this week. On each call, I used the word "Relationship" at least once. I took this picture in 2016. Building online relationships outworks sales every single time. If you are not getting enough leads, it's because you are selling too much. Some of the biggest personal brands never even use a CTA (call to action) in their posts. People don’t follow brands that constantly pitch. They follow brands that make them think, feel, and learn something valuable. Think about it—when was the last time you enjoyed a post that was just a sales pitch? Probably never. The brands that grow the fastest do one thing differently: they educate first and sell later. This is what's working best for me: YouTube to teach and social media to tell stories. • YouTube: Share in-depth, educational videos that break down problems and provide real solutions. When you teach, people trust you. • Social Media: Share relatable, story-driven content with no call to action. Just insights, experiences, and things people actually want to engage with. Why This Works When you stop selling and start helping, your brand becomes magnetic. People begin to see you as an authority—not just another business trying to make a sale. No tricks. No gimmicks. Just consistent, valuable content that builds trust over time. If you do this right, people will come to you—not because you sold them, but because they believe in what you share.

Last year, I got invited to a local networking event in Wilmington, NC by @trentjhughes I used to hate networking. Always had my head down, grinding solo at home. But that event changed everything. I met amazing people I still talk to regularly. Trenton told me about his new venture, The Tribe. Would I have joined if it were just another online community? Probably not. But because I met him — and saw what he was building locally — I joined instantly. Since then: – Attended more events – Found + opened a space for 20+ people – Now plan on hosting my own local events Here’s what I’ve learned: šŸ“ Meet people IRL šŸ” Follow up online šŸ’¬ Support their posts šŸ¤ Add them to your referral network Real relationships start offline. Hurricane Family Update ↓ We have a mom with 5 kids who lost their home in St Pete, Fl. from Hurricane Helene. We've driven them up to North Carolina and are currently housing them. Thank God we had an investment property for sale that we were able to take off the market and get them in. We've bought them all beds, have been keeping the fridge stocked, and got them a monthly membership at the trampoline park (best idea ever). They even enjoyed a few days out on the boat with us to get their minds off things. My wife and I have a nonprofit we are turning into an online community, and we would like to invite you to be a part of it. Our goal is to have 100,000 people join this community over the next year, and I need your help to spread the word. That will be enough to always be prepared to help multiple families in need when they need it most. Additionally, I'll be posting more about our donations, as this is the 4th family we've been able to help. Over the past 4 years, we've helped 4 women/kids with free housing and support until they were able to get back on their feet. The community is just $1/month, and 100% of all proceeds will go towards helping families like this in need when they need it most. Join Here: skool.com/paylente-3773 Hope to see you in there!

Don’t waste money on ads until you fix this one thing. Ad platforms don’t love it when you send their users off-platform. Even if you’re paying for ads, asking people to leave for your website means higher costs and fewer conversions. Why? These platforms want users to stay engaged with them. Here’s the fix: • Use Ads to Get Followers: Instead of driving traffic to your website, focus on building your audience on the platform. • Turn Your Profile Into a Sales Page: Share valuable content, customer testimonials, and solutions that keep leads hooked. • Let Them Click When They’re Ready: Use your bio link strategically for those primed to buy. By working with the platform instead of against it, your ads will cost less and perform better. More followers = more trust = more sales. Have you tried ads for your business?

Next year, we’re cutting Zoom calls and focusing on screen recordings for summaries, updates, and how-tos. Here’s the process we are implementing: 1. Share Updates via Screen Recording Instead of scheduling a call, record a quick video explaining the update, report, or process. 2. Use Text for Follow-Up Team members can review the video and ask clarifying questions in text. 3. Keep Everything Referencable Videos and text responses can be revisited anytime, avoiding miscommunication and repetitive explanations. 4. Calls Only for Specific Confusion If there’s still uncertainty after video and text, schedule a short, focused call with a clear goal. This approach will save our team time, keeps communication clear, and ensures everyone has what they need without interrupting their workflow. Has anyone successfully implemented this approach?

Trying to build a team on Zoom is tough. Over the winter, Danielle (my wife and business partner) and I met with @trentjhughes. His advice was simple but powerful: hire local. So we decided to go all in. Not just hiring local, but building an office to create an environment where an amazing team could grow and thrive. Shoutout to Danielle for being the best business partner I could ask for. She not only fills in the gaps where I fall short, but she’s also stepped up as the leader, growing the team and designing an office space that inspires everyone who walks in. Big thanks to David (@RealD_Miller), who’s taken charge of our advertising team. He joined us over a year ago and has been a rockstar since day one. He doesn’t just show up, he shows up ready to serve, lead, and help our clients win. And a shoutout to Nick, he’s taken full ownership of our automation and CRM systems. I challenged him to step into the project manager role, and he ran with it. Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. Since moving into the office and working together in person, we’ve taken our business to the next level. The collaboration, energy, and momentum is just different. Would you ever build a local team, or are you staying fully online?

I Tried Making Videos Like Everyone Else… It Didn’t Work. For months, I followed the trends. Fancy edits, high-energy intros, viral-style hooks. And nothing. No traction. No real audience. Just crickets. Then I switched it up. I stopped trying to be entertaining. I made videos my way— - Boring but educational. - Simple but helpful. - Straight to the point but motivational. That’s when I jumped from 3,000 subscribers to over 105,000. But what I’m most proud of? The comments. While others get ā€œGet to the point alreadyā€ or ā€œ10 minutes in and still nothing,ā€ I get: ā€œGreat video, super helpful.ā€ ā€œThanks for getting straight to the point.ā€ ā€œThis video may be boring, but you’ll learn something.ā€ Now, making three videos a week is easy. Editing is simple. And most importantly—it’s fun. When I was trying to be like everyone else, I wasn’t enjoying it. Now I do it my way, and I love it. Have you found your style yet?

Entrepreneurs, how do you actually stay in shape? I used to be a fitness coach and workout 7 days a week—until a car accident. Now, it looks more like this: Get busy. Miss a workout. Feel the stress. Chug caffeine. Set the alarm for an early workout. Get stuck in emails. Plan for cardio. Last-minute Zoom call. Drive to the gym. Employee crisis. 5 PM. Realize you haven’t had a sip of water. Anyone cracked the code?

At 15, I was selling garden benches to greenhouses. My dad would drive me, stay in the truck, and I’d walk in, nervous but determined to make the sale. That experience taught me sales, resilience, and how to believe in what I was offering. Years later, I’ve built a marketing agency that’s helped over 2,500 businesses grow. Along the way, I’ve learned this: 1. Start small. Every step forward is progress. 2. Be scrappy. Success rarely comes easy, and persistence pays off. 3. Build relationships. People work with those they trust. No matter where you’re starting from, focus on learning, adapting, and connecting with others. That’s where the magic happens.
