Bitmappers, are we wasting our time or no? ๐
I want to take a moment to speak from the heart. This is a shoutout to every single one of you whoโve been here over the last two years, holding the line, showing up, and staying committed to the vision of Bitmap and the decentralised multiverse.
Itโs wild to say this out loud, but Bitmap is now a two-year-old project in crypto, and that alone is something special. In a space where trends come and go in weeks, the fact that we still see Bitmap saturating timelines daily, see builders showcasing new work, and see communities forming naturallyโฆ thatโs not just rare, itโs real.
I stuck with Bitmap because of the decentralised proposition. It wasnโt about hype, it was about alignment. I started in this space writing Solidity on Ethereum, then moved to Polygon to make things more affordable, but I never really found a home for what I was building. That changed when Bitmap entered the scene. It took 11 months of watching, listening, and absorbing before I made the decision to fully commit and bring my project over to Bitcoin.
And that move wasnโt easy. Everything Iโd done before was wired through smart contracts. To rebuild all that logic with inscriptions meant diving deep, back-engineering systems, and learning how to work with metal in a new way. There were no shortcuts, but that learning curve gave me perspective, and it made me believe even more in what weโre building here.
Bitmap was always going to be a tough mission, real decentralisation always is. And in the tough moments, the downturns, the quiet spells, the noise from the outside, thatโs when you see the cracks in weak ideas, and the strength in the ones that matter. Every day I show up and see other people doing the same, builders solving hard problems, contributors dropping new tools, voices showing up in spaces. Thatโs not hype, thatโs conviction.
No VCs, no monopolies, no corporate puppets pulling strings, just an open protocol, rooted in Bitcoin, with a mirror of the block and transaction layer, and a mission that aligns with freedom and creativity. Thatโs what Bitmap is, thatโs why Iโm still here.
Yeah, weโve seen psyops. Weโve seen attempts to hijack the brand, extract liquidity, confuse the mission, but thatโs crypto. Thatโs the storm that every real protocol has to weather. And despite all of it, weโre still here, still shipping, still growing.
Iโve been on dev calls with builders who inspire the hell out of me. Iโve woken up to see 3-hour Bitmap spaces that ran while I was asleep, only to find another one already spinning up. That level of energy, dedication, and belief, you donโt see that anywhere else.
I know I probably see Bitmap differently than most. I see it through the lens of someone building at the edge, rewiring systems, creating entirely new things that didnโt exist before. Iโm in tune with whatโs coming, and I know the long game is the only game that matters. Bitmap wonโt blow up from one app or one moment, it will evolve through a sequence, step by step, idea by idea, builder by builder.
So if youโre here right now, still contributing, still believing, still building or just staying close to the mission, I want you to know that youโre not wasting your time. The vision is worth it. The work matters. The network is forming.
Iโm proud to be part of it. Iโm grateful that I gave myself the time to find the right home for what Iโm building, and Iโm grateful that Bitmap exists to give people like us that space.
Letโs keep going. Keep building. Keep the energy high. The future is ours to shape.
