Finally, let's talk about what comes next…
Bigcoin’s Merge Mining protocol is ready TODAY. The idea that has been discussed for months, and championed by none other than @lucanetz is ready, and the code is extremely clean. So the technology side of this equation is a go. The next major step for a 2025 launch is finalizing the best token projects to actually use the system.
We know that the first few tokens that launch via MM will set the tone for the entire future of the protocol, so it’s critical that we start strong. The CTO team has actively been in discussion with various teams looking to launch in Q4, and we’ve received support from both the Abstract team and the community at large. The team has some very promising leads, but more is always better.
If you’re leading a new project launching on Abstract, we want to talk to you. We are extremely confident that launching your token via merge mining will create a healthier, lasting token economy than any other launcher.
While eventually we could see the protocol being used to launch memecoins, right now we’re looking to partner with utility tokens. Those in Defi, Gaming, Art, Trading, ICM, Predictions or anything else that goes beyond just an idea.
We are committed to launching the first token in Q4, and will keep everyone informed of when that is ready to go.
