I own an apology, to Shane Steichen. He still pisses me off sometimes, but give him credit. He saw last year was a disaster and we t out and made BIG changes. Got a new defensive staff and a guy that he bet that he could fix at QB. It’s clear that with competent QB play, an even slightly better defensive than the last 3 years, and some talent he’s a good HC.

Regardless of how the Colts season plays out, one thing I will say for this organization is how much of a shift in philosophy they have taken. Ballard doesn’t make a mid season signing like Pratt last year, Gus is no Lou, and Shane’s play calling has been so much better.

I still believe the organization has mismanaged AR from the start. That’s why one good offseason shouldn’t lock Ballard and Shane in even if AR works out. This whole “competition” for QB has been a tactic to try and improve ARs faults that should have been fixed on day one. Yet here we are. I do think AR has preformed better than Jones and will be starting. However will it lead to regular season success…idk. Probably not. But I’m hoping for the best. Ether AR works out now or everone should be fired and we start over next year.
