CA legal advice sought: several moms of daughters who have had their birth certificates changed to say they were 'born male' are interested in filing a Letter of Protest.
This letter would be sent to the hospitals where are daughters were born, as well as to the local county Vital Records Office, and Governor @GavinNewsom
Could anyone recommend an attorney who might be interested in reviewing our draft letter? We are happy to cover their time.
Side note: My daughter's birth certificate 'gender marker' was changed to male when she was 15 in the Yolo County Superior Courtroom even though my attorneys (Vernadette Broyles and Mary McAlister) had help me with preparing excellent arguments against it. This was 2021, my daughter has since desisted.
The other moms have adult daughters who have changed their birth certificates but we all believe these agencies are creating false documents.
Appreciate any ideas or feedback! 🙏
