the thing i hate most about this fandom is that they would all LOVE haru if she were a man. but she’s not. she’s a woman. who feels like she’s only good for sex. and this fandom mischaracters her all the fucking time
haru is a damaged character. from the day she was born, she’s been treated as insignificant and unequal. she realized when she got older that the only time she felt equal and validated, was when she was having sex
not to mention you would all ADORE her if she were a man. exhibit a: pina. a character also known for lack of a better term, “sleeping around”, is more than beloved by the fandom and is a fan favorite
it’s a trauma response from her; one that lots of people unfortunately turn to in real life as well. we see this narrated by haru in both the anime and manga
it’s not the dislike of these characters i hate; it’s the fact that if they were men, they’d be treated differently by this fanbase. and i just think that’s sad
end of thread 🪡
pina is praised and loved for his flirtatious personality and behavior; meanwhile haru is hated because she hurt precious uwu legoshis feelings; by being in a fling with louis
let’s start with the treatment of haru. haru is one of the most hated characters in this fandom by a long shot. you could chalk it up to her being legoshis love interest; therefore making everyone jealous of her, but i think we all know there’s more to it than that
legoshi isn’t perfect either. don’t get me wrong i love him too but he’s creepy at times toward haru and gets in over his head; idk it kinda pisses me off when people treat legoshi as this saint who did nothing wrong
let’s start by playing devils advocate. one of the biggest complaints i hear about haru is “she’s a slut” or “she sleeps around a lot in the first season and legoshi deserves better”
this is coming from someone who actually likes louis x legoshi, haru isn’t the reason they didn’t get together and it’s crazy to me that some people think that
before i say my next point, i myself am not a victim of sa. if i say anything wrong, or offensive, please let me know and i will adjust as accordingly. the last thing i wanna do is misrepresent anyone, especially on a topic so sensitive and real
CW: this thread may have spoilers for beastars; including things we haven’t seen yet. This thread also contains mentions of sa and trauma that results from it. please put your health first. if you or someone you know is struggling, reach out; talk to someone. you’re not alone.
he’s lost all his charm; he’s supposed to have a darker mane and pelt, as well as look younger than the rest of the shishigumi, being only 26 years old
am i the only one who finds the sexualization of legoshi in this fandom weird? like he turns 18 but only in season 3. i think too many people forget that he’s canonically a minor for the first two seasons
Agata in the manga, in my opinion, was meant to represent the change and normalization of the black market, and the complexity of the criminals within it
he’s sympathetic, oddly, and way more insightful than the others members, as well as commonly seen correcting Melon on his dismissive behavior in the black market
i do understand that studio orange needed to limit his screen time due to having to cram the last volumes into one season, but at least get his design and personality right like
anyways that’s all !!! i honestly recommend the manga if you want more details on EVERY character, the anime doesn’t really do any of the characters justice <3
What's going to happen to Legoshi in BEASTARS Final Season Part 2? 👀
Find out in the heart-pounding conclusion to the series, coming exclusively to Netflix in 2026!
