The Midjourney buzz of the day is that in-painting has arrived! Here is a basic example- an image that already has a nice rectangular area for altering.
The prompt:
interior of a reception area, contemporary modern, in the style of black and white patterns, with teal::2 accents, with gold accents, reception desk, rug over wooden floors, comfy sofas and chairs, succulents, fiddle leaf fig tree in planter, windows with black plantation shutters open slightly to let in a little light, abstract gold wall art, modern sconces, relaxing, mellow, meditative, 8k ultra detailed, ultra realistic, unreal engine --ar 16:9 --style raw
From the upscaled image, I selected the new "🖌️Vary (Region)" button, which brought up a large window that allowed me to select an area to be edited with a new prompt (for this, be sure you have remix mode turned on).
I deleted most of the prompt since all I wanted to alter was the artwork on the wall. I entered the new prompt and Midjourney provided 4 new images to choose from.
Next up I will show how you can alter 2 areas of an image simultaneously!
