One of the most annoying things about twitter is just the overwhelming presence of scammers and bots 😕 and as someone who’s coming from a previous job in security, I’m a little more paranoid than usual. So my apologies again if I’ve accidentally blocked you. Nevertheless always be careful online guys, one wrong link clicked can result in drained wallets! Seen it happen to friends too many times. The most incredible thing I’ve seen at Devcon so far is: Silence. I’ve emceed many conferences before and the worst thing is that a big crowd always results in lots of noise. In fact I usually have to hush people and tell them to respect the speakers and be quiet. But consistently at Devcon I seen over capacity rooms with pin-drop silence as speakers share. People stay focused and locked in. Amazing to witness. This.is.incredible.

Hi bro. Most of my life I actually worked as a freelancer, I did magic shows for kids birthdays & emceeing. I only worked an office job 1 year as a part time teacher and 1 year at Luno and 1 year as an admin staff for my church. Most of this I force myself to self contribute.

How many times will I miss out on life changing money? 1. All my first Bitcoins (not that much but it was significant to me) I lost to a platform where the CTO ran away with the funds. 2. All my Ethereum I lost in a friends trading bot which got liquidated. Closest I ever came to an anxiety attack. It was a very significant amount to me. 3. Invested even more crypto and stored in Celsius and then Celsius went bankrupt. Lost pretty much everything again. 4. Invested in friends projects with the intention to help support them. All failed or rug pulled. Same with a few defi protocols, loved using them and got burned bad. 5. During Covid took out my EPF money to invest into LUNA and UST and overnight it crashed so hard. I lost most of my wealth and money in my life in crypto. At the time around 300K+ probably more but I just got more depressed keeping track. Depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety. Been there done that and I can only thank God for giving me faith to get through the darkest nights in my life. Me being alive is nothing short of a miracle. Movies are often written where the underdog gets an epic come back… But real life is not always like that sadly. So if you’ve made it, if you got life changing money. I’m happy for you (at least I’ll try to be 🥲). Pay it forward and help others too along the way wherever you can ❤️

I think this is my first time wishing someone happy birthday on X but it’s for a well deserved moment. A blessed and happy birthday to @AaronTeng 🎉🎂🎉 Fun fact: Aaron is actually the reason I even got into crypto and @pudgypenguins ! I was a Bitcoin skeptic at first and I thought it was all a big scam. But when @AaronTeng explained crypto to me it suddenly made more sense because he had a way of explaining it which helped me understand better! 🤯 For me this was a landmark moment in my life being exposed to crypto, consuming so much content on it and helping onboard others into this world. I have mixed feelings seeing ETH hit 4.2 K USD On one hand I’m really happy for the community, after participating in ETHKL and Devcon I have grown very fond of the Ethereum community ❤️ But on the other hand after calculating my ETH losses from failed projects, bankrupt platforms, and lousy NFT purchases… I could have been holding > 100k today if I had just HODLed instead of placing on platforms or bought stuff 😔 It’s bittersweet, but alas one of my more painful lessons in my 5 year journey in crypto. Still keeps me up at night with regret. Worse when I realize I was never able to build back my ETH stash after those losses. Today the only “eth” I own is in the form of @pudgypenguins NFTs particularly my @LilPudgys ❤️ which I love and cherish. The only project that never failed me 🥹 Regret is hard to deal with, but day by day I’ll waddle forward to a hopeful future ahead 🐧
