BOOM! Woke up and chose $20,000 MRR 💸 Incredible how fast this tiiny app is growing 🚀 THIS is proof that you can get here with the right strategy 🙌 What did I do right? Found a problem space and went all in on it. I didn’t make small bets. I wanted it to exist, I had an interest and expertise in this space and I worked on it until it succeeded. Work on a problem you have an edge/expertise + interest in. It’s going to get tough so you better be interested in it. I chose a validated idea. If it’s your first business you want to make it easy for yourself - pick a space which is validated, validation is the hardest part. No that doesn’t mean copy another Indie Project - there are bigger products out there to improve. The simpler the better. Tech is too complicated today for its own good. If you can take an existing, validated product and simplify it - you're on to a winner. Step out of your developer bubble. Finding your single distribution channel is key. Marketing is like sprinkling seeds all over the internet and waiting to see what grows - then doubling down on what does. Code less & market more. Coding more with no users is procrastination - it’s the easy part for devs. Community is key, don’t do this alone. I honestly wouldn’t be here without the support of @RamenClubHQ & @IndieBeers don’t do this alone, they’re been invaluable. Most problems have been solved - just ask someone who’s solved it. Once you hit a cruising altitude you snowball. Getting there is the hard part. Your key distribution channel needs to be supplemented with others (e.g. YouTube, email, referral loops etc.) Lastly, thank you to everyone who's support me along the way - you know who you are 🙏 P.s. Admittedly we are way past $20k MRR but wanted to make helpful post about it.

BOOM! 100,000 click throughs from Google in the last month 🤯🚀 This is a HUGE personal milestone for me 🙏 When I first started building Tiny I knew nothing absolutely nothing about SEO. It took me about 6 months to get any traffic from SEO. But when it started, it never stopped. It's an ongoing effort with many different dimensions: KW research, writing, SEO audits, backlinking But needs one key ingredient: patience. Take my word for it - it's not as mystical as it seems. But to start it's really simple: Find the right keywords & write quality AI-free content. Ahref's University is a great resource.

We get ~200k visitors a month and have been running off a single node instance. Stop over engineering. Truth 👇
Web programmers seem to have no idea just how fast computers have become. The vast majority of all SaaS apps ever made could easily run on a single, beefy beast. Main reason to add multiple machines is for redundancy, and even that is something you can put off for ages.
