To anyone saying MTG is losing it's identity I disagree. There are several arcs with cult fans/strong dislike in our game; Praetors, Eldrazi, Slivers, The Weatherlight crew, og Planeswalkers, Nicol Bolas, any creature type like dinosaurs & Zacama, Avacyn ect.
There is lore from over the years, a rich history, in novels and now YouTube audiobooks.
There are artists with cult followings who have distinct styles found in certain Art Directions specific to MTG planes.
There are planes with unique characteristics. If one claimed Saheeli was from Innistrad a fan would instantly correct you, then inform you about the differences of the inventive artifact plane from the Lovecraft-ian plane.
People like myself are recognized in cosplay as the Magic character they are at NON-MAGIC conventions.
The marketing team getting in with Hot Pockets to IHOP to Skateboard Decks of recent months have been noticed. Planeswalkers and Lotuses everywhere for Magic 30.
You can dislike Universes Beyond and/or be allowed the opinion it's existence mires the Multiverse. But making statements of Magic losing it's identity, nah, I'm not buying it.
