My first friend,my 1st best mate,my brother but most of all my hero, @37wand passed away peacefully this morning.
Devastated doesn’t even come close to how I feel now!
We knew it was coming but it’s still hurts.
It was terrible watching him suffer.

The former player, skipper, coach and manager known as the Wand after his wonderful left foot will be truly missed by everyone.

If I could give one award in football, it would be to all the unpaid volunteers at Non-League, grassroots & youth clubs. These people give up their spare time but never get the praise they deserve. So we should all say a big THANK YOU to our volunteers - the true soul of football

10 yrs ago I wore this v ibstock,broke my leg,i got compartment syndrome,MRSA (nearly),5 ops-2wks,skin graft,leg looked like this after surgery.Safe to say,playing football got knocked on the head for a few years!!!
ALL the bad days I've had,can say stemmed from this!
