Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan graced the 517th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Nadaprabhu Sri Kempegowda in Bengaluru today. Addressing the gathering, the Vice-President said Sri Kempegowda was remembered not merely as a ruler but as a leader who governed with a vision for the welfare of the people. He noted that Kempegowda envisioned an inclusive city where farmers, traders, artisans, scholars and people of different faiths could live and prosper together, adding that present-day Bengaluru truly reflects that vision as a “Mini Bharat.” Governor of Karnataka, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot; Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel, Shri H. Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan was accorded a warm welcome upon his arrival at HAL Airport, Bengaluru today. Governor of Karnataka Shri. Thaawarchand Gehlot; Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka Shri. U. T. Khader; and other dignitaries received the Vice President at the airport.

Deeply saddened by the passing of legendary filmmaker, actor and screenwriter Thiru K. Bhagyaraj. He made an extraordinary contribution to Indian cinema through his memorable films, distinctive storytelling, and remarkable screenwriting. His innovative screenplay techniques and ability to present complex narratives in a simple yet engaging manner earned him recognition as one of India’s finest screenwriters. He also inspired and mentored many filmmakers, enriching the world of cinema for generations. His passing is an irreparable loss to Indian cinema, but his enduring legacy will continue to inspire generations of artists and cinema lovers. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and countless admirers. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

K. பாக்யராஜ் அவர்களின் மறைவுச் செய்தியறிந்து மிகுந்த அதிர்ச்சியும் ஆழ்ந்த வருத்தமும் அடைந்தேன். முன்னாள் முதல்வர் திரு. எம்.ஜி. ஆர் அவர்களால் தமது கலைவாரிசாகப் போற்றப்பட்ட திரு. பாக்யராஜ் அவர்கள், தனித்துவமான கதை சொல்லும் பாணி, நேர்த்தியான திரைக்கதை அமைப்பு மற்றும் மக்கள் மனதில் நிலைத்திருக்கும் வசனங்கள் மூலம் தமிழ்த் திரையுலகிற்கு அளப்பரிய பங்களிப்பைச் செய்தவர். புதிய திரைக்கதை உத்திகளை அறிமுகப்படுத்தி, சிக்கலான கதைக்களங்களைக் கூட எளிமையாகவும் மக்கள் மனம் கவரும் வகையிலும் திரையில் வடிவமைத்த அவர், இந்தியாவின் தலைசிறந்த திரைக்கதை ஆசிரியர்களில் ஒருவராகப் போற்றப்பட்டார். மேலும், பல இளம் இயக்குநர்களுக்கும் படைப்பாளிகளுக்கும் வழிகாட்டியாகவும் முன்னுதாரணமாகவும் திகழ்ந்தார். திரு. பாக்யராஜ் அவர்களின் மறைவு இந்தியத் திரையுலகிற்கு பேரிழப்பாகும். குருபக்தி மிக்க மனிதநேயப் பண்பாளரான அவரது புகழும், படைப்புகளும் தலைமுறைகளைத் தாண்டி என்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கும். துயரமான இந்நேரத்தில், அவரது குடும்பத்தினருக்கும், நண்பர்களுக்கும், திரையுலகினருக்கும், எண்ணற்ற ரசிகர்களுக்கும் எனது ஆழ்ந்த இரங்கலைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன். அவரது ஆன்மா சாந்தியடைய இறைவனைப் பிரார்த்திக்கிறேன்.
