as a young journalist, interning at newsrooms gave me a whole new human appreciation and love for the job.
they’re just wonderful spaces crowded with ideas, and opinionated chatter and coffee (lots of it!) and nooks to have mini cry-sessions in.
<we need them!>
A newspaper not having a newsroom is insanely stupid.
You don't need the huge buildings of the past, but there should be a space where you build relationships with editors, reporters and photographers.
You learn the job on the scene, you learn the profession in the newsroom.
