During my visit with the Louisiana National Guard, I was able to visit soldiers patrolling the streets as part of Task Force NOLA and walk the flight line with airmen from the 159th Fighter wing. I got to see firsthand hand how they defend the homeland every day.
Whether supporting security operations on the streets of New Orleans or maintaining combat-ready airpower from the flight line, the Soldiers and Airmen of the Louisiana National Guard stand ready to defend the homeland and, when called, fight and win our Nation’s wars

At Colorado’s High-Altitude Army National Guard Aviation Training Site, @NGB_SEA Raines and I met the outstanding Soldiers who live the National Guard’s three core missions every day: building warfighting readiness, supporting domestic operations and strengthening partnerships.
These same Soldiers have saved 561 lives since 1986 through high-altitude search and rescue, and now they’re using that elite mountain flying expertise to help train @NASA’s Artemis astronauts for lunar landings.
Proud to see American Soldiers pushing the edge of what’s possible — on Earth and beyond.
