USBP began installing 18-foot-tall border wall panels in the Rio Grande Valley Sector’s Hidalgo County today. These panels were originally planned for installation during the prior Trump Administration, but the contracts were cancelled by the Biden Administration. The panels going in today will replace the six-foot guard rails and will provide impedance and denial capabilities in support of the President’s recent Executive Orders to ensure complete operational control of the Southern border.

In a major multi-agency operation, USBP assisted DEA execute a warrant at multiple homes tied to large-scale narcotics and firearms trafficking organization operating in the Seattle area.
One target, a Mexican national linked to the ruthless Sinaloa Cartel is now in custody along with 9 others. Multiple firearms seized, approximately 100,00 fentanyl pills and 34 kgs. of fentanyl powder, and other narcotics were also seized in this operation. All suspects are now in custody facing federal charges for conspiracy to distribute firearms and narcotics.

7/2- MS-13 Gang Member on the run in Dallas, Texas, was located by USBP agents.
The Salvadoran national attempted to evade agents and ultimately drove himself home. Upon arrival at his home, agents were met with three adult relatives who ambushed and assaulted the agents. With the assistance of FBI and ICE, all subjects successfully exited the residence and USBP agents determined they were ALL illegally present in the country. The Salvadoran national plus two adult females and one adult male will be charged with assaulting a federal agent and put into removal proceedings. BONUS: the17 year old juvenile who punched USBP agents will face state charges for assault on an officer and placed in removal proceedings as well.
We will continue to work with our partners to deliver consequences to ANYONE that assaults our agents.

This predator thought he could hide in plain sight. He was located and arrested without incident and is now in removal proceedings.

9/4- An international fugitive wanted for aggravated homicide and sentenced in absentia to 25 years’ confinement was hiding in plain sight in Los Fresnos, TX. USBP agents relentlessly tracked him down after receiving a copy of the warrant issued by El Salvador officials in 2023. Not only is he a convicted murderer, he’s also a confirmed MS-13 gang member. He is now in custody, facing felony charges for supporting foreign terrorist organizations (18USC2339) and criminal prosecution for unlawful entry into the U.S. (8USC1325).

USBP and CBP Air & Marine Operations (AMO) stopped two suspected smugglers in the open waters of San Diego, CA, after receiving reports from the Mexican Navy about a vessel with two individuals that failed to stop for them and the U.S. Coast Guard a few days prior. Law enforcement attempted to stop the vessel and AGAIN the individuals did not comply. However, undeterred, and very capable, CBP AMO agents successfully disabled the vessel. Both smugglers are now in custody, facing charges for failure to heave (18USC2237) and inadmissible alien (8USC1182).

Near Dilley, Texas, our agents intercepted a failed human smuggling attempt where seven illegal aliens were discovered crammed inside a locked tanker. After stopping the vehicle, agents noticed the tanker was locked. Agents used an axe to break the lock and free the smuggled aliens trapped inside. Thankfully, no one was injured. The driver, a U.S. citizen, was arrested and faces prosecution under 8 USC § 1324 (human smuggling).
This is another example of smugglers’ complete disregard for human life, valuing profit over everything, putting lives at risk.

On Tuesday, a sedan traveling northbound on I-5 in Camp Pendleton, California, carried a deadly mix of drugs hidden throughout the vehicle. A search following a USBP K9 alert revealed packages concealed in the vehicle's frame rails., rear bumper, and center console.
58 packages seized- worth over $586,000:
🔹32 packages of cocaine - 78 lbs.
🔹24 packages of meth - 25 lbs.
🔹2 packages of fentanyl - 5 lbs.
DEA arrested the driver and charged him with possession with intent to distribute (21USC841).
