UNIFIL peacekeepers donated blood to support Marjayoun Hospital and bolster its blood supply. The initiative reflects our ongoing cooperation with local healthcare institutions. Supporting local communities underpins our work in south Lebanon.
UNIFIL peacekeepers have not detected any trajectories or observed interceptions or airstrikes since Sunday, marking more than two days without such activity since the resumption of hostilities on 2 March.
While the reduction in violence is a welcome sign, peacekeepers continue to observe airspace violations, military activities, and restrictions to freedom of movement.

I was honored to meet @LBpresidency Joseph Aoun and the Speaker of Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri today. I briefed the Lebanese leaders on the situation in south Lebanon and @UNIFIL_’s continued work under challenging conditions.
From clearing roads of unexploded hazards and providing security escorts to humanitarian convoys, to reopening vital roads damaged during recent hostilities, peacekeepers support stability and safety in line with Resolution 1701.
Since renewed violence in south Lebanon, repairing roads & bridges has been a core task for UNIFIL peacekeepers. These repairs support mission mobility and help ensure access for humanitarian actors in areas affected by ongoing hostilities & displacement.

Carried out in close coordination with the @LebarmyOfficial and local authorities, these critical works have restored key routes, including damaged roads and bridges, across several locations in the area of operations.
Despite significant escalation over the past three months, peacekeepers remain deployed across all positions in southern Lebanon and continue their work in support of the full implementation of Security Council Resolution 1701.
I had the pleasure to brief members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Lebanon’s Parliament today on the situation in southern Lebanon and @UNIFIL_'s work in support of stability and security in southern Lebanon.
UNIFIL peacekeepers facilitated the safe movement of the Lebanese Red Cross and Civil Defense ambulances carrying stranded patients from Rmeish to Tyre. Women, children, and the elderly in urgent need of medical care continued safely to Beirut.

The operation followed the delivery of vital medical aid and essential supplies for residents of Rmeich. UNIFIL’s ongoing liaison and coordination with the parties remains essential to enabling humanitarian access and supporting civilians in south Lebanon.
