Reflecting on the honor of winning a Nobel Prize, Prof. James A. Robinson said Monday at his home: “It’s a little bit emotional. I’m super happy obviously, but very proud and honored,” Robinson said. “It hasn’t quite sunk in yet.”
Prof. James A. Robinson has been awarded the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, for "studies of how institutions are formed and affect prosperity." He is the 101st scholar associated with UChicago to be named a Nobel laureate.
