I have a neighbor who is 86 years old. His name is Don. He’s a marvelous man, neighbor, and retired minister. He’s also a long- time @Broncos season ticket holder.
Last month, Don Asked me if I’d take him to a Broncos game because he thought this would be the last year of his ticket holdings.
Knowing that my time with Don as a neighbor was coming to a close because of their desire to find assisted living, I knew that this game would be important for us. I love the heck out of that guy and my kids love talking to him. So of course I was looking forward to this day.
Don had a stroke on Wednesday. He’s recovering and out of ICU. But I don’t know if he’ll ever sit in these seats again.
I’m here in honor of my friend and best neighbor a man could ask for. Please send prayers, wishes and best energy to my neighbor, Don.
