He/Him

Lover of comics, video games, reading, writing, and skateboarding. Never thought i’d get a Twitter, but life finds a way.
#BlackLivesMatter
It’s literally just racism. Miles in comics, movies, and games has become his own character. Hell, in the comics, his books, even in 616 exist completely parallel to Peter’s, with little to no crossover. He’s a fully fleshed out, likeable character. It’s just cuz he’s black.
Fury defied SHIELD when they wanted to nuke a city, shot down an aircraft that was going to do it anyway, and helped destroy SHIELD when he found out how corrupt it was. Waller was willing to sacrifice a whole nation to Starro to keep America's secrets.
They'd hate each other.
Two things:
A: I’m convinced most of you haven’t watched Doctor Strange, cuz he absolutely did not fucking use magic to fix his hands.
B: A lot of y’all have a very shallow/stereotypical view if what it means to be disabled.
I'm looking forward to their interaction, they're both very smart but one works in the scientific and the other deals with magic, there's some great team up potential here
For me, one of the reasons the new Superman cartoon works so well is because how effortlessly it dismantles the bad faith arguments from people who really want Supes to be a different character. Jimmy Olsen, his best pal, is a useless character to Clark? Wrong. Clark shouldn’t..
Guys, he’s a high schooler in close proximity to a smart, beautiful, classmate, that has a weird, but oddly charming personality. It’s not that difficult. ‘Just cuz’ is a perfectly fine answer.
This tweet right here is all the proof you need that homophobia is taught/projected onto the youth. Mans had no problem with how incredibly violent the YJ revival is, and his nephews were seemingly not put off by a same sex kiss, but he HAD to make his homophobia their problem.
To me, this shot represents the MCU at it’s peak potential. Sometime’s i’m in disbelief we actually made it to where we’re seeing Spider-Man, holding the Infinity Gauntlet, riding Mjolnir....
be a loveable dork? Superman shouldn’t save cats out of trees/smile a lot? He’s aggressively, obnoxiously nice and selfless, and it all fucking works. The trunks are outdated at stupid? We’re gonna add them to his Kryptonian suit, because the color balance is clearly off.
Rewatching Spider-Man (2002) has made me realize that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has not had a proper ‘Spider-Man moment’ now don’t get me wrong, I love all actors who donned the mask, bc I simply love the character - but the writers have been doing Tom wrong.
And it all works. In two episodes they Flawless Victory destroyed those bullshit talking points, showing you can have Clark still be classic Superman, and still downright loveable. I was willing to cede some of these arguments, and even now the trunks aren’t a dealbreaker…
but after seeing how comically easy it is to just do Superman as he is, no additives and/or subtractions needed, yeah, I hope he saves cats out of trees in live action. I hope he takes time to genuinely talk with peoplr, and clean up his messes. It just feels so good to see the..
big blue boyscout again. I genuinely forgot how much I missed him. I hope this show gets ten more seasons, I hope Superman: Legacy is on the same energy. I want a wave of this kind of Superman media to take the world by storm and remind people why we need him as he is.
We don’t need a top to bottom update, we don’t need a deconstruction, we don’t need five films to make Clark/Superman who he is. His whole thing is that he’s the complete, genuine package from day one, and i’m tired of the idea of that somehow being a flaw.
Because at the end of the day, Superman is the ultimate hero. The standard in which all others are cut from/judged. Even in the show he gets Lois to change, just by calling her out on her values of honesty and integrity. Ya know, things journalists should live and breathe.
Probably because Rhodey is a Colonel in the United States Air Force, and would be required by USAF law to turn that weapon over to the govt. Like I know y’all didn’t like Iron Man 2, but holy fuck, they literally made a whole movie about it.
I mean, this isn’t what he died for, and considering how many legacies are bastardized and tarnished after an important figure dies, i’d say this is kind of brilliant.
It’s described how he COULD use his magic to fix his hands and return to his old life, but he chooses not too, as it would take constant energy to do so, and detract from him using his abilities to be a hero. Did YOU watch the movie?
Daily reminder: Superman showing up to school to have lunch with a disabled kid, in order to prevent him from being bullied is easily a pure Superman moment.
Sheesh. This took off. Nothing to plug, just know that if you think Doctor Strange fixed his hands with magic at the end, you should watch the film again. Also, disabilities come in many forms. Just because you can’t notice it up front doesn’t mean it’s not present. Play nice.
Watch when MCU does Fantastic Four, folks gon be like
“Fox did Galactus better. His dark and ominous cloud form had weight, and seriousness, and themes, and depth.”
No. His hands still shook, and in her dying moments, she explained how he could fix the problem and return to his old life, but Strange chooses not to.
This took off. I wanna double down and say Miles was always a cool character, and it’s super weird to call him a ‘token’ when his comics are better than Peter’s, he has a movie regarded by many to be the best Spidey film, with another on the way, and two hit games incoming.
One thing i’m shocked I haven’t seen more of is praise for Cassandra Nova just being a ‘bad cuz I want to be’ kinda villian. I remember a breif period when CBM Twitter was really jonesing for that vibe.
Daily reminder, for some reason.....Zeus is an immoral, cheating, serial rapist. He is not some disciplined, noble, warrior king, he's a fucking idiot that peaked at the Titanomachy, and has rested on his laurels ever since.
Yes. All that power, yet he can't sign his name, handle a straight razor safely, and above all, perform his craft that previously gave his life meaning. Just because you can work around a disability does not mean you no longer have it.
One of the worse aspects of current MCU fandom is the weird, distorted view they have of The Infinity Saga. So much misremembering of how things happend and/or how characters acted.
Idk y tf the fanbase is hating this one line from Hela?! And apparently, they’re all too stupid to remember that she had this same attitude in Ragnarok! Wtf did u think this was?! 👇🏼
My theory about the Marvel Zombies #WhatIf episode is what if Thanos’ snap went wrong. Like what if Thor hit him while he snapped, and the sudden pain altered the intended effects, turning half the universe into zombies. Cuz most of these are Infinity War designs.
Now you read this out loud and ask yourself is this a fair review? Hell, was this a review at all? He didn't say anything about the actual film, but the entirety of media discourse will unquestioningly treat this as if it is automatically worthy of respect and consideration.
Hideo Kojima’s reaction to watching ‘CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD’:
“I watched ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ in IMAX. I vaguely remember Sam receiving the shield in ‘Endgame’ but when did he officially become Cap? Is it because I haven’t seen ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier?’ And what’s this about the Avengers being reorganized? I’m also getting it mixed up with the ‘Thunderbolts’ trailer”
This action scene is the perfect encapsulation of ‘wait for the film’, cuz isolated, yeah, this scene looked rough, but in the context of the entire scene, it flowed so much better. Again, I have no idea where those ‘rough’ opening 10-15 minutes were.
Obsessed with the costume designs for the Deadpool & Wolverine suits and how as the movie continues, they get more and more ripped and dirtied. I miss when CBMs did this and I’m glad it’s returning with this movie.
Your own damn fault. You had the Disney bag locked down, and threw it away. Like, you coulda been in Mandalorian movie. But hey, Daily Wire originals, right? That’s gotta be just as good.
Yea, you’ll have to excuse me if I don’t take the opinions of someone who thinks BLM and trans people are satanic seriously when it comes to racism. As it turns out, black people and be bigoted too. Makes no sense to me as to why, but it is what it is.
6 years ago today, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker/Spider-Man went to space for the first time in the #MCU.
It is also the first time that the character goes to space in a live-action project.
#AvengersInfinityWar
One thing that ain’t sitting right with me is the criticism of Cassandra Nova is how she was apparently weak and/or wasted. Corrin absolutely dominates this role, with such an enthusiasic, chaotic prescence that’s really infectious.
I want all these scoopers to get cease and desist orders. I want them sued out the ass and made an example of. No more scoopers. They’ve been nothing but a plague to the discourse.
Marvel Studios has issued an DMCA subpoena to discover who's behind the social media account that has posted various Marvel leaks including a pre-release image from ‘CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD’

MCU hunor is not a thing. What you’re seeing is self aware, but not too self aware banter/humor that used to be known as ‘buddy cop speak’. It’s been a thing for decades, people just expose how little movies they watch whenever they use MCU as an adjective.
Me when I thought we were literally gonna lose all the Marvel characters
Vs
Me when I realized Disney would just have to pay more to the families of the creators.
I admitedly should have referred to him as afro-latino, but he’s half black, and is referred to colloquialy as ‘black Spider-Man’. Semantics aside, how does that invalidate the points made?
