What a way to break a record. As of 9:30 am we've officially broken our ALL TIME snowfall record set in 2010/11 of 783" with 785" and counting. With the winter we've seen, it's been only matter of "when" not "if."
3:24 pm UPDATE:
Snowbird teams have completed a full search of the incident site and have confirmed that no guests or employees were caught in the debris caused by an avalanche that was triggered outside of Snowbird’s boundaries.

🚨 New Opening Day Alert: Next Friday. 🚨 You asked and mother nature delivered. With 32 inches of snow from recent storms bringing us to a 67-inch base, we're bumping Opening Day up 2 weeks to November 18. Our staff has been working non-stop to make this hope a reality.
24” in 24 hours. If you’ve hung up your skis for the year you’ve made a huge mistake.
The #LongestSeasonInUtah keeps on delivering the pow.

Welcome, Gator, the newest member of @snowbirdskipatrol to the team. Alli-Gator is 10 weeks old and in training to join the ranks with Frankie, Trailer, Marty, Gus. 📷: @Chris_Segal
Goodnight from Little Cottonwood Canyon 🌒
After receiving 29” of snow in the last 24 hours and over 6 feet of snow in the past week, we finally got to enjoy a sunset before the next storm rolls in.
What a weekend ❄️
Despite receiving 23" of snow since Friday, our ski patrol was able to safely open all of our lifts during the storm yesterday. Oh, and after a sunny morning of leftover powder, it's snowing again 🤷
We just hit 300” and the snowiest months are still ahead of us. Conditions are legendary. Skiers and Riders: Taylor Pratt, Rian Zetzer, Reed Snyderman, Justin Lati, Bjorn Leines

Several months ago our Snowbird team lost a beloved team member—one of our Avalanche Rescue Dogs, Alli-Gator. Affectionately known as Gator, she passed her obedience test at just 1 year old and her WBR Level A Avalanche Search Certification at 18 months old.
We have officially surpassed last season's total snowfall, and it's not even February.
With 440 inches of snow, it's been life in the white room all year. Oh, and it's still coming down. 🤷♂️

A full Interlodge is now in effect. All lifts are now on hold & everyone at Snowbird needs to make their way to a building, immediately. You cannot stay in your car. This is for your safety. There is no eta on when Interlodge will be lifted.

We’ve been skiing the bucket list lines of our dreams all week.
Thanks to one of the snowiest winters in decades and hard work from mountain operations and ski patrol, we've opened unique terrain for the first time in years. #ADifferentBreed
13” of snow so far and it’s not slowing down 🙌 Skiing & riding are just 1️⃣1️⃣ days away—our teams are prepping the mountain as we count down to Opening Day on November 30, conditions permitting.
Statistics alone can't tell the story of 2022-23 season, but here are a few:
📏 838" of snow
🎿 51 powder days
❄️ 182 days of winter operations
🗓 8 months during which guests enjoyed skiing and riding
🏆 1 historic season
Thank you for making it unforgettable.
52 FEET of snow this season with no end in sight. Other ski “resorts” have closing dates, the #LongestSeasonInUtah ends when we run out of snow. Which is a long, long time from now.
Today is the last day of operations for our original Tram cabins. After 50 years of ferrying skiers & riders to Hidden Peak, they’re getting a well-deserved retirement. We can’t wait for the things to come, but today join us in sending them off & share your favorite Tram memory.
We’re missing our Easter Sunrise Service this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a beautiful sunrise (photos are from our webcams this past week). Enjoy this day and this time with your family and loved ones however you’re able to connect with them. #Snowbird#Easter
A naturally-occurring avalanche that started on the south facing, lower section of Mt. Superior (outside of Snowbird boundaries) ran across SR-210 and onto the western edge of Snowbird’s Chickadee trail.
Snowbird has officially hit 500” of snowfall—bringing us to our average snow total for the season… And it’s only February. We’re calling it a bucket list season for a reason.
#ADifferentBreed
We received 57" of snow in 5 days to make Opening Day 2019 one for the books and another 13" of snow last night on top of that! This has been an incredible opening, we have all the powder.

What does 19" of new snow on a bluebird day in Mineral Basin look like? THIS!
Up to 30" on the way according to our friends at @findOpenSnow. This week is going to be 🍌🍌🍌🍌.
The snowstake—and winter—are BACK!
After last season's record-breaking 838" of snow, our snowstake needed some love. Last week, our teams went out to repair it just in time to record the first 6" of snow for 2023-24 season.

Dear @Snowbird, in 1985, my parents paid you guys to give me ski lessons, but I just made snow angels while the instructor laughed. Can I get them a refund for Christmas?
We’ve seen feet of snow in the last several days, coupled with sustained high winds reaching 95 mph. NOAA is forecasting 70”+ inches of snow to fall by Monday. Please remain patient & be advised that delays are likely over the weekend. For ops info: bit.ly/3O5q4sn
