President Trump’s attempt to end birthright citizenship was unlawful and unconstitutional. The Supreme Court rejected that effort today, but Congress cannot stand by as Trump continues testing the limits of his power and trying to rewrite the law in his favor. npr.org/2026/06/30/nx-s1-583…

And today, the Supreme Court said that no president can. The Constitution says, if you're born in America, you're an American.
No President, including Donald Trump, has the power to unilaterally change our constitution and strip away the birthright citizenship defined within it. Today's decision is not the end of the road. My parents came to this country 50 years ago in awe of what America stood for. Stories like our family’s are what makes our country a beacon of hope and opportunity, and not something a single president’s Executive Order should ever be able to override.

Independent agencies exist so the American people can have faith that decisions being made about their lives are in their best interest - no one else’s. This decision sets a dangerous new precedent for the future of our nation.
Replying to @MorePerfectUS
But in another ruling issued at the same time the court granted Trump the ability to fire FTC Commissioner Rebecca Slaughter, generally furthering the President’s control over independent agencies other than the Fed.

I’m glad the Supreme Court affirmed that ballots mailed by election day will still be counted. Millions of Americans rely on mail-in ballots as a safe and secure way to make their voices heard. I’ll continue to work hard to keep our elections fair and free from interference.
The Supreme Court on Monday ruled that states can count mail ballots that are cast by Election Day but arrive later, rejecting a GOP challenge to Mississippi law's for late-arriving ballots. cbsn.ws/4f9hEy3

Our democracy works best when everyone has the opportunity to make their voice heard. This is a win for voters across the country.

They lied and told us it wasn't a war. Then, they lied and said it was over. Now, they want us to spend $80 BILLION of your money on the war they never should have started.
SCOOP: The Pentagon needs $80 billion to cover costs from the Iran war as well as other non-war-related bills, Deputy Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg told lawmakers in phone calls this week, according to people familiar with the discussions. Stopped to break down all the good stuff my team and I got included in this really important housing package! Trump can try to put a speed bump on the ROAD to Housing, but he won't stop this from becoming law.

June is Vitiligo Awareness Month. For those living with vitiligo, like myself, our skin tells a story.   World Vitiligo Day is an opportunity to raise awareness of the condition, support research, and dispel stigma.   Let us uplift and encourage those living with vitiligo to live boldly and beautifully in their skin.

This decision not only threatens the safety of our Haitian neighbors but the strength and stability of communities across the country. It contradicts the values on which our nation was founded and undermines our efforts to respond to the Humanitarian crises facing Haiti.

Democrats helped pass the biggest US housing package in over 30 years. But Donald Trump refuses to sign it into law and help lower costs. “The cost of housing is up. Donald Trump may not care, but Democrats do.” @SenWarren: “We will get this bill passed.”

BREAKING NEWS: Donald Trump is now REFUSING to sign our bipartisan law that would lower your housing costs. He doesn’t care about anything but enriching himself and disenfranchising voters. We will NEVER stop fighting to tackle the housing crisis.

The President just cancelled the signing for that bipartisan housing bill I told you about yesterday — all because he is throwing a tantrum since the Senate will not pass his so-called "Save America" Act. Delawareans can see plainly where his priorities are: a ballroom, a reflecting pool, and his conspiracies. Certainly not addressing the cost of living crisis

The President is stalling legislation that would bring down housing costs, all to try and force us to pass his voter suppression bill.   It's never been clearer that this administration doesn't care about us— do your job, Mr. President, it's time to get this done.

Good news: the ROAD to Housing Act just took a big step forward! This historic package will free up billions for affordable housing, stop private equity from buying up single-family homes, and save both time and money. You asked, we took action. Now, let's finish this!

It doesn't happen often, but... I agree with @RepThomasMassie
The irony of Republicans controlling all branches of government while bankrupting the country, starting a war, sending money to fraudulent programs, violating the Constitution, giving corporations immunity... but arguing that the biggest problem we have is “stolen elections.”
