For aspiring @NBA2KLeague Bigs, Locks, or PFs. Don’t forget to work on your PG and Center skills this offseason. Why ? B/C those positions have the biggest impacts in the Combine.
Many season 3 rookies who are locks and PFs got in the pool by playing as Combine PG/C.

175 players will be qualified out of it. Which means the top 35 ADVANCE stat lines per position will make that cut.

Only 8 out 23 league teams had winning records this season. Looking back, it looks like you need at least 3 positions to be above average (B+ tier) to have a chance to end up with a winning record.
Some teams are 1 player away but many need 2+. Newcomers should be excited

For Centers going for Combine please understand your ORTG + DRTG are tracked. Which means your offensive impact via screens and you defensive impact on the hedge + in the paint are all tracked.
C pool stat line is a different beast I will need to make a detailed vid on it.

For league tourney teams understand this. Is totally possible your team makes the finals but lose. THEN your PG wins the loser eligibility spot, leaving your team without a PG.
This will likely happen, plan ahead for this.

For those that been grinding qualifiers, I suggest aim to get at least 6-8 wins a day so you can finish early then get some rest before Combine. To me your winning percentage in Combine matters, in qualifying not so much. The initial 100 wins is a filter to test who wants it.

Good game-planning + player development are like gold in the 2K league. Seeing too many teams going in with a lineup with no system or motion sets in place. A lot of unique player skills also aren’t utltized properly; they aren’t put in place or given correct usage to do so 🤔

Here’s a Combine truth. The pool spot is gonna go to the player who knows when he/she needs to win by going high usage. And when they can win by going extremely low usage.

1) Can reject interviews
2) Will accept all interviews

In a 20 minute pro am or online game, each player has 6 fouls before fouling out. Relatively speaking that means in a 48 minute game each player will have 14 fouls. Want to control mindless online spamming ? Make fouls and qtr minutes relative.

For those aiming to get drafted for SZN 4, my best advice for is this:
Find ways to win consistently vs top competition pre draft. Enter tourneys, 2KL tournaments, + challenge league players to games.
You have to prove you can win + is worth the investment of a pick

If @SplashEdition plays one more game he’s risking 2% decrease in W% for a chance to gain 0.015%.
In his shoes, it is bad math to continue since 1 game,or even 5, can’t really change his large sample size of stats from 40 previous games.

To have your Combine play be considered as an official entry, you must complete 40 games for a single position.
If you play 40 as a PG, 40 as a SF, then 35 as a C. That’s 2 entries; one for PG and one for SF.

Tomorrow I will release the PF Combine stats tutorial. A lot of you are gonna be surprised. The PF spot is the best way into the league. B/C you can get an elite stat line playing low usage or high usage ball.

The league has 23 starting Center spots, but honestly probably less than 5 is available in season 4. If you plan to get in the league as a 5, that’s probably the toughest way in.
