Proud to brag about our Navy-Marine Corps team. We have the world’s finest Sailors, Marines, and civilians—always ready, always lethal, and prepared to win whenever and wherever our nation calls. My priorities are simple: take care of our people, build more ships, and defend our homeland—at all costs. Semper Fi. Hooyah. @BigWeekendShow

If we get knocked down in combat, we get patched up and get back in the fight. At home, we must do the same for our invisible wounds. I know it’s hard. It was hard for me. This PTSD Awareness Day, let's break the stigma. If you need help, seek it. If your buddy is hurting, help them. Call 988 or Text 838255.

Leaving Vietnam as a refugee 51 years ago and returning today as the Acting Secretary of the Navy is a powerful, full-circle reminder of what is possible when blessed with freedom and opportunity.   Our productive visit strengthened US-Vietnam relations and our naval partnership.   Progress often starts simply: two Sailors sitting down, sharing a common bond, and working together to achieve mutual goals. What we accomplished extends beyond the pier—strengthening the trust to keep sea lanes open, defend freedom of navigation, and preserve peace through strength across the Pacific.   Thanks @POTUS, @SecRubio, and @SecWar for your leadership and commitment to ensuring our @USNavy and @USMC have what they need to maintain maritime dominance.

Earthquake relief support from the sea: The @USNavy has a proud legacy of providing disaster relief directly from the sea. #SOUTHCOM has directed USS Fort Lauderdale (LPD 28) and USS Billings (LCS 15) to Venezuela to support @DeptofState-led U.S. government relief operations in Venezuela. USS Fort Lauderdale serves as a floating command center with a flight deck to support heavy-lift helicopters and a well deck to launch landing craft. The agile USS Billings (LCS 15) can provide support close to shorelines, accelerating disaster response missions. SOUTHCOM is surging available assigned U.S. military forces in our region to support U.S. government relief operations in Venezuela, following the devastating earthquakes that struck the nation June 24, 2026. @DeptofWar @SecWar @WHAAsstSecty @usembassyve @USAenEspanol (File photos)

The Forgotten War Today, we honor the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the #Marines who fought in the Korean War from 1950 to 1953. Great to be in Groton and Quonset Point with OMB Director @russvought meeting with our nation’s skilled craftsmen, shipbuilders, and Sailors. Every submarine built adds to the strategic advantage of the Golden Fleet and our Silent Service - the @USNavy's unmatched undersea force that deters our adversaries, protects our homeland, and safeguards freedom of navigation.

The Medal of Honor is our nation’s highest award for valor. Today, we honor two legendary Marines who defined heroism: Col. John Ripley and Maj. James Capers Jr. It was my honor to sign their citations.   If you don’t know their stories, read their citations. When the situation demanded it, they rose to the challenge to accomplish their missions with bravery and strength rarely seen.   As of June 18, 2026, it is now formal Department of the Navy policy that all Sailors and Marines, regardless of rank, will render a hand salute to all Medal of Honor recipients. Our heroes, like Col. Ripley and Maj. Capers, deserve no less. Semper Fi.

To build more ships, faster, we must change the way we do business. Great to join OMB Director @russvought in our nation’s shipyards alongside skilled shipbuilders, craftsmen, and Service members. From Maine to the Gulf Coast, we will deliver the Golden Fleet by expanding and sharpening American warship production to equip our @USNavy and @USMC as they dominate the seas.
