The School Board has finalized our School Reopening Plan and Student Options for the 2020-2021 School Year.
Additionally, the Board has voted to delay the start of the 2020-2021 School Year to Monday, August 17, 2020.

After direction from the @CDCgov, the @EducationFL announced ALL school districts will close for one additional week for students beyond their spring break. FDOE will delay state testing by two weeks. Extracurricular activities will also be suspended.
On Monday, March 1, 2021, the School Board of Seminole County, Inc. voted to select Serita Beamon, Esq. as the new Superintendent for Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS).
1.Students will not return to campus until Wednesday, April 15th.
2.All statewide assessments have been cancelled this school year.
3.There will be no school grades released for the 2019-2020 school year.

Governor DeSantis and the Florida Department of Education just held a conference call with all of the state Superintendents. The following updates have been made:
Yesterday, Gov. Rick Scott announced the appointment of SCPS School Board Vice-Chair @tinacalderone to the @SeminoleState District Board of Trustees. She is appointed to fill a vacant seat for a term beginning September 6, 2018 and ending May 31, 2022.
Superintendent @walt_griffin will be meeting for the 3rd week in a row with ALL of the SCPS Senior Class Presidents. The students have gathered input from their peers on a revisioned Graduation & Prom. Hoping to finalize & announce plans early this week!
Seminole County Public Schools WILL be open tomorrow, August 29th. We will be providing an update on possible cancellations of after-school activities or programs as well as a decision for Wednesday tomorrow morning.
