SBC Fire has declared an MCI(multi casualty incident) associated with multiple medical emergencies including multiple severe traumas. These are associated with heavy crowds in Isla Vista for the unsanctioned beach party known as Deltopia. Many balconies are over crowded.

Dog rescue. 3 YO dog Louis fell off cliff at MoreMesa Goleta. SBC on scene with 2E’s and 1T performed a high angle rope system to retrieve dog. Dog was brought up and reunited with owner without injury.
Dog Rescue : SBC ME 26 responded to the 3500 Blk. Hadley Wy. Orcutt. Sage, a yellow lab, was trapped under a deck during heavy rains w/rising water after crawling through a small opening. Crew removed parts of the deck, rescuing her from rising waters.

At 3:49, SBC rec’d reports of a medical 30 feet down cliff above Hope Ranch Beach. Multi agency response with UTV’s, Drone, Engines and Truck. Ended up being a mannequin from movie shoot days earlier. Passerby’s on the beach noticed and called. Better to call than not!

SBC ASU Captor 308 responded yesterday to Oceano Dunes to assist San Luis County with multiple potential rescues due to extreme surf conditions and RVs getting stuck in the surf line. Our team conducted aerial reconnaissance to ensure everyone's safety.

Cow Rescue Operation at Dos Pueblo Ranch: Yesterday, late afternoon, a 'Ronvey' Swiss alp cow was discovered trapped in mud by ranchers. An extensive rescue effort was initiated. CT 4:20pm

Vegetation Fire: 8300 Blk. Foxen Cyn Rd. Santa Maria area. Firefighters stopped forward progress at 2.14 acres. Fire is 100% contained. Foxen Cyn Rd is open to through traffic. Cause is under investigation CT 9:49am
Horse rescue, Vieja Dr, Goleta Valley. SBC on scene with E13 and T11 assisting a horse stuck in a water trough. SBC crews have freed the horse and horse is being evaluated by vet on scene. The condition of the horse is unknown at this time. Call newsline.

Camel Assist: ME 23 responded to the 7000 block of Tepesque Canyon, Santa Maria. Firefighters help a baby camel in distress on the hillside. With the assistance of Frankie's mother, personnel guiding the 8-month-old camel off the hillside, reuniting the family at the bottom.
@ 3:00pm 166 inc update: SBCo Fire was able to stop all forward progress of the oil spill in the riverbed near USFS Pine Canyon Fire Sta. Resources on scene are currently working to remove the oil from the river. Check the newsline for updates.
