This is the misinformation that you accuse your colleague of. This is blatantly false. Oil and gas are examples of value-added goods, we produce enough for export. Our leaders have only mismanaged it. There are many examples of countries who have made a fortune out of Oil and Gas.

I appreciate your insights, Lekan. But I need you to explain how you will “ramp up productivity” while gradually devaluing the currency and also pay down the $7bn backlog and narrow the gap between the parallel and official FX rates
If we should compare @Rotankwot and @PeterObi thoughts on economy issues in the attached clip,we can say that both agree that subsidy should be removed and Naira should be floated. But, both contrasted in approach to the goals. Rotus want drastic approach so that airlines fund repatriation backlog of $7 billion can be cleared quickly while Peter believe in phases approach while trying to ramp up productivity. These two approaches are not new, many Nigerians inclusive economists are also divided largely into these two approaches. Both have pros and cons, but I will go for gradual phase out and ramp up productivity though it is a long term. Because the journey has started long before now , l have said this long before here, at some points in the past subsidies were removed on Diesel, kerosene, aviation fuel and at a phase local production of PMS, other fuels and petrochemicals were focused through local refineries production and we are all witnessing the effects of such past efforts on our today. Let agree that PMS subsidy were removed totally, should we allow forex gone haywire concurrently. I'm imagine what will be our situation like if Dangote Refinery and some modulary are not in existence and working today that PMS subsidy is drastically removed and Naira floated ( though said still being supported or defended). As a leader your first consideration should be common people and SMEs that hold the fabrics of bearable living for common people not self venerations as we are seeing in the president's speech " Don't mind the naysayers" "As e dey sweet us e dey pain dem" Just apolitical thought though. @ishakaa @ThatIsokoLawyer .

“I will” ignore. Not “I’d” You struggle with English (writing/spelling/interpretation). A reflection of Nigeria’s Education gap that produces dim-witted lying Politicians like you “Buck stops” = Taking responsibility to address an issue The Governor didn’t cause the issue
I’d ignore your insults (not that low in thinking like you) and address the issue. You, Rotun said and I quote verbatim- “When insecurity happens they (the Governors) start appealing for peace. THE BUCK STOPS WITH THE GOVERNORS AND I AM VERY MUCH BEHIND THE PRESIDENT in telling the Plateau State Governor that you need to step up” These are your exact words and you’re here calling me a lair? Besides, the incompetent president you are supporting said “the buck stops at the President’s desk” and that’s all I wanted you to know. On Arise News this morning, Rotus blamed the Governor of Plateau Stare for the incessant killings in the State. He went on to say the bulk of security stops at the Governor’s table. Mr. Rotus, kindly note that the man you’re constantly defending his ineptitude says you are wrong. For every Nigerian killed due to insecurity, their blood is on Tinubu. Ire o✌🏽

Morris. The only reason I am replying is because you and I chat away from Twitter and you’re not an ignorant person I said from day 1 we are not floating. This is a currency devaluation and a MANAGED FLOAT. Telling BDCs N1,350/$ is a far cry from N450/$ before June 2023 International Money Transfer Operators (IMTOs) do not use a fixed rate. Customs does not use a fixed rate Let’s not try to score points here and understanding the issues clearly
This was almost a year ago. What Rufai was saying is what is happening. CBN is going back to fixed rate. Rufai was correct.

All you have to do is read. But no, you won’t read. Tweet less, read and research more. June 8th, 2020 - Why Nigeria Must Export Value-Added Products businessday.ng/real-sector/a… @timomayor2 @KingsleyLade @iykeduet @da_deeziner @truimageng @Capolutiti
Dear Rotus @Rotankwot, you can do better than this. Max @IamMaxObesi, you know I respect your thoughts. 1: GAS: Propane or Butane (Cooking Gas) are Liquified Petroleum Gases that are byproducts of CRUDE OIL. 2: OIL: Lubricants (Mineral Oil) are oil-based products that are byproducts of CRUDE OIL. They are composed of 80–90% petroleum hydrocarbon distillate with 10–20% additives to impart specific properties to the oil. Indeed @IamMaxObesi was right when he said oil and gas are value-added goods. Crude Oil could be your raw commodity, but products that are oil and gas based like lubricants and cooking gas are not in a real sense, raw commodities. They are value-added goods. It's unfortunate you're in the 'middle-class', that you had Google, that you bought data but refused to use it. You just misinformed the general public but you've been shouting upandan since yesterday about misinformation. We've seen your level of 'sheer ignorance' and trust me, we believe it! 🌹 Please stick to your textbook analysis on @ARISEtv you'll do better at that. Stop trying to be Ajuri Ngalale 2.0. Economist Isonu!

“Yes inflation needs to be tamed in Nigeria but it is important to understand how we got here. When you print money for ways and means, it has its consequences, and we are paying for those consequences right now.” - CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso @cenbank #mpc #cbn #inflation

Educated people read books. Investment in knowledge is a continuous process throughout life. Before you talk to me about Nigeria’s Electricity Industry maybe you should buy this book written by a Nigerian, Kofoworola Olokun-Olawoyin. It is 562 pages. Get off Twitter and read

Did the @cenbank Financials for 2022 not show us the truth? Did the BILLIONS IN USD we got from JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs not open our eyes? Did the $3bn @nnpclimited borrowed from the @afreximbank just this month not make things clear??
