I see the Baby Boomers defend their thing about not giving their grandkids an inheritance, "We earned it and so should you" or something like that.
Except I don't see it. My in laws made a fortune, and pissed it all away being bigshots in mexico. And when they were down to their last dollar their parents died, leaving them millions in real estate in Vancouver.
They have pissed all that away too.
My parents and their family had their grandparents ranch, which they sold for spending money the moment they were able. It's also pissed away.
I don't know if everyone has a story like this, but not only did they have the best environment to make their fortunes, their parents gave them a second chance at it, and still, it's just gone.
I never expected anything, so I'm not let down. But all this blather about boomers earning it isn't true. It was the most prosperous people in world history pulling the ladder out from under them
