7 months ago today I picked up Punk 6292. At the time, I sold off most of my NFT assets just to store liquid in a punk. My thought process was that, when looking at NFTs overall, Punks were undoubtedly an NFT that would hold good during the bear, and outperform in a bull.
Punks had no roadmap, no utility, no airdrop, no drama. Exactly what I needed in a space full of false promises and misaligned expectations. Going into a bull, I couldn’t be more glad to have my girl.
As time passed, I have come to appreciate punks, especially the connections I have made during Punks brunch in Charleston and HK. Grateful for the doors it has opened for me and continue to do so. We all have targets for our holdings but I’m grateful for the journey thus far.

Excited about @MagicEden’s $ME launch in a few days. The fair float and thoughtful incentive alignment stand out. There’s been a lot of cope on the timeline from non-active traders feeling entitled based on past spending, but rewarding current active users > past users from a business perspective. Having worked on token design and GTM for various projects, I know these tough decisions were made thoughtfully.
The allocation principles are clear:
•Organic users: Real, sustained usage matters—signs of inorganic trading were flagged.
•Cross-chain activity: SOL, BTC, and EVM users who traded NFTs, used Launchpad mints, cross-chain swaps, and Runes were rewarded.
•Loyalty: OGs with consistent usage were recognized.
Sure, my points weren’t massive (BTC maxis, take a seat—I know some of you 🧑🍳), and I wish creators were rewarded more. But credit where it’s due: ME is the #1 BTC DEX (80% of total volume share of ordinals and runes) and #1 NFT platform (top share of revenue and users in the NFT ecosystem (60% share of revenue and 29% share of users)) in the space. Magic Eden is one of the stickiest platforms and have stayed at the forefront of innovation. They’ve led the BTC ecosystem with ordinals and runes while others sat idle during the bear. Excited to see how the token performs 🫡 🚀

I always cringe at the term “KOL” in the space. You're not a “KOL” just because you decide to be one. A true “key opinion leader” earns an audience's trust with **valuable** perspectives, and with that comes the persuasive power to influence people to take action or spend their time and money. Identifying real KOLs - the true “market movers” and allocating resources effectively will be key to any project’s success. 🫢

Pudgies are down 70%+ from ATH—so unfort, my 2-month @gondixyz loan wasn’t immune to a default. But this is exactly why credit history matters. In Web2, defaulting on a loan damages your credit and limits future borrowing opportunities. Web3 shouldn’t be any different.
Glad platforms like @ethos_network exist to track and signal counterparty risk transparently. Reputation is the new collateral.

Normalizing background checks for project founders, advisors, KOL managers, and whitelist applicants through @ethos_network x @KaitoAI will become standard practice imo.
For example, hiring advisors with low credibility scores who lack real industry experience is a 🚩. The same goes for marketing managers—if they can’t even grow their own audience organically, have 0 social presence or have a poor credibility score, how can they effectively market your product? Yet, many projects still make these mistakes.
If you want to have a shot at building a successful project, due diligence isn’t optional—it’s essential.
