250 years ago, a group of Americans declared our independence and gave birth to a nation founded on our God-given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. One year ago today, the House passed the largest tax cut in American history. The results? 97% of filers received a tax cut. Average refunds up 11%. No tax on tips. No tax on overtime. 35 million seniors claiming the enhanced deduction. Nearly 40 million families with a bigger Child Tax Credit. Trump Accounts investing in our next generation. In CA-20 alone, we protected 41,690 small businesses from a 43.4% tax rate and prevented an 18% tax hike on the average taxpayer. One year in and working families across the Central Valley are keeping more of what they earn. 🇺🇸

Even some California democrats are signaling opposition to the plan. That’s how bad it is.

Gavin Newsom is raising health care costs on California families by up to $425 a year, and it likely violates Prop 35, which voters approved to prevent exactly this. I’m leading efforts to demand answers. Californians already pay the highest gas prices in the nation and face one of the highest costs of living anywhere in America. Today, the gas tax increases across California. I’ve been calling this out since 2017 when it was enacted—it only raises costs on drivers and businesses. Unfortunately, time has proven me right. Californians already pay the highest gas prices in the nation, nearly $2 above the national average. Newsom had the opportunity to stop this hike and refused. It’s time for a leader that puts Californians first.

Grateful for his leadership and his partnership in delivering for the American people—strengthening our national defense, supporting our local military installations, and advancing critical water infrastructure and energy production that helps our communities. As we approach America’s 250th birthday, one thing is clear: our best days are ahead. 🇺🇸

While Gavin Newsom raises taxes, piles on regulations, and hands benefits to illegal aliens until California goes insolvent, House Republicans passed the Working Families Tax Cuts, protected family farmers, secured the border, and brought jobs back to California. The contrast could not be clearer, and Republicans are on the right side of history.
