This should have been a moment for all of us to work together and keep our kids safe online. Instead, Big Tech and their army of lobbyists hijacked and watered down what was previously a common-sense bipartisan bill.
I voted no on behalf of parents across our community, myself included, who refuse to cave to half measures when it comes to our kids. Without a duty of care provision, the KIDS Act gives Big Tech a free pass to keep putting profits over the safety of our kids.
We need real reform that holds powerful social media companies accountable for their actions, and I'll keep fighting until we pass it.
