Next week is our last legislative week of the year and our last chance to preserve access to life-saving care for our constituents. It's time for Republicans to join Democrats to extend the ACA tax credits and save health care access for millions of Americans.

I was proud to join @caryncgov Mayor Weinbrecht and @wakegov Chair Don Mial to announce over $1 million in federal funding for Walnut Creek. Since the 90s, Cary and Raleigh residents have worked to restore Walnut Creek. This funding shows what we can achieve when communities and government work together.

It was an honor to present the N.C. Council of Women with a commemorative flag to honor their contributions to our nation. As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, it is essential to recognize the role of women in shaping America's past and defining our future.

My statement on the Supreme Court's TPS ruling:

I'm on Capitol Hill to do my job, but Trump sent Congress into chaos by deciding not to sign a bipartisan bill to lower housing costs. He cares more about taking away Americans' voting rights than providing affordable housing.

Both the House and the Senate have now said clearly: it's time to end Trump's illegal war in Iran. This war is not over. In fact, the Pentagon just said it needs an additional $80 billion in taxpayer dollars to fund it. Enough is enough.

Republicans and Democrats came together to pass a landmark bill to make housing more affordable. But the President has decided his own interests are more important than lowering costs for the American people. Trump is now standing directly in the way of affordable housing.
