We were honored to host the latest installment of Congressman @AaronPBean's Pathway to Consensus health policy series, focused on the Medicaid Directed Payment Program and its role in Florida's health care delivery system. Panelists included Brian Blase, president of the @Paragon_Inst, and Mary Mayhew, president and CEO of the @FLHospitalAssn, moderated by Dr. Juan Pulido, Clinical Dean, LECOM - @JacksonvilleU and pulmonologist with Jacksonville Lung Clinic who practices at Baptist Medical Center Beaches. The conversation explored a range of perspectives on Medicaid supplemental payments, federal reform proposals, provider tax policy, hospital reimbursement and the potential impact on access to care for Medicaid, uninsured, pediatric and medically complex patients. That’s why I introduced the LEO K9 Protection Act. Anyone who intentionally harms police animals in the line of duty should face serious consequences. Law enforcement animals that serve with brave men and women protect our communities, and they in return deserve to be protected.
