I don't know what to say about Marvel Snap.
I've tried really hard to give feedback and help Second Dinner find a path to players, tried to give an ear and a voice to players and other creators, tried to give the game its chance to shine for being so much fun despite all the frustration. I even gave to charity to hopefully infuse a tiny little bright spot into all this.
But the game just takes and takes and takes. The Snap team's message today indicates that won't be changing, and I fear it might be getting even worse.
I'm tired. I just want to have fun playing goofy decks for you all. I guess I'll keep doing that for a while? I'm sorry I can't do more right now. I tried.

If you didn't know, Child's Play was started by Penny Arcade (yes the dudes with the variants and bundles), and supports children's hospitals by providing games to kids. My wife was a nurse at our local children's hospital for 10 years and has seen the big impact this can have on keeping them happy and healthy for long hospital stays.
Maybe we can make some sick kids lives a little better!

I am a lucky dad. Little Regina is the sweetest and most wonderful kid.
She looks so cute learning how to ride her scooter. She loves to help me win claw machine prizes at the mall. She has a hard time with swimming lessons, but she's trying her best and getting better every time. She has so much fun at the park, and hugs all the other kids.
I couldn't be prouder.

Fatherhood has been the most fun time of my life by an indescribable margin. It's lots of work yes, but it's fun and rewarding work.
Crazy how long it takes for fatherhood to become fun. My son just turned 3 and I almost want to say I’m only just now starting to find this gig fun, like at all. I guess fathers don’t talk about this because it sounds bad but 0-2 is pretty boring. Not much for a man to do until they can roughhouse and form ideas.

You'll never believe what happened... we failed the free Series 5 Pack gameplay bounty that no one knew about for a week, was impossible to track, finished over a busy holiday travel weekend in the US, and ran during the most stale meta the game has ever had.
These events are fun, and yes we got some other free stuff, but the execution has to be improved or it steals the joy out of it and kills momentum for next time.

This thumbnail mashup seems simple at first glance, but getting the symbiote to merge into Beast's face required some fun kitbashing and hand-drawn elements to make it work, including altering the edge lighting to green and matching it all up.
Love how it turned out.

In that time, I also got married, bought a house, had a baby, and have lived one heck of a lucky life.
It's a real honor to share a little part of my life with all of you every day. It's crazy to think that people have watched my videos for more than 4,000 years in total, and I hope I've used that extra time to offer the world some fun and learning and an occasional bit of wisdom.

As always, time will tell, but I think there's a real chance this is a turning point for Marvel Snap if they put players first.
My hunch is that a lot of problems were caused by this publisher relationship and the awkward split of responsibilities.
Man I hope so anyway.
