Dear friends,
a few days ago I faced the hardest day of my life.
My father passed away at the age of 64.. it was sudden, far too soon, and I wasn’t ready.
If I am the artist I am today, it’s because of him.
Since I was a little kid, he introduced me to this world.
I still remember the afternoons he used to take me to his trusted gallerist, showing me new artists every time and passing on his endless passion for art, especially contemporary art.
I know how proud he was that I had managed to turn his passions into my own path.
First through law, the profession he would have loved to pursue himself,
and later through art, his greatest love.
The pain is still immense, and it will take time to learn how to live with it.
But one thing I know for sure: the flame he lit inside me will never fade.
I’ll keep it burning brighter and brighter, until it reaches the sky so that he can see it.
From a little boy and his father standing in a gallery,
to a flame that will one day become a blazing light.
I’ll make him proud of the artist I’ll become,
so he can see it all.. clearly, and alive.
You’ll live forever, Dad.. in me, and in my art.
♥️💐
