Murder did not permanently disqualify Paul. Past sexual sin does not permanently disqualify from the pastorate either. The questions are, did he rightly repent, how is he behaving now, and has he been that way for a year? years? more than a decade? It seems from the evidence I have seen, that yes he did repent rightly, he has been faithful in marriage, and has been for a decade. My understanding is that later, when he did have elders at the church in California, they did not say he was disqualified. The other concerns seem to be ill defined. In case you think I’m a yes man, remember I called out the wrongness of platforming @calvinrobinson at the conference. Joel and I disagreed there. @rightresponsem has expressed public disagreement with me before as well. Not withdrawing sponsorship. Not withdrawing from speaking.
I wanted to wait to share my response for one simple reason: Because when accusers of the brethren say “jump,” you actually don’t have to say “how high.” However, in God’s kindness, he has surrounded me with many godly men and women who are eager to come to my defense, and have respectfully asked me to post my response so they can reference it as they advocate for me. *My response is ready to go because it has been written for years. Yes, I’ve had to update it from time to time, especially after receiving the letter from my former elders in 2023. But the general substance has been long prepared. **Last Thing: You would assume it goes without saying, but sadly, many pastors have made a habit of hiding their sin. So for the record… My current elders knew. My current deacons knew. Every head of household in the membership of my current congregation was informed. And my board members with Right Response knew. To all those who have been so kind to me, and even now are advocating on my behalf, you have my deepest gratitude.

Joyous News: My daughter was just engaged to Mr. @GavinGTuinema a few minutes ago. She met him first @New_Christendom and then started a courtship @rightresponsem and @Chocolate_Knox was there to capture when Gavin asked me if he could take Faith to dinner (her brother and sister-in-law went with them). Thank you @GavinGTuinema @rightresponsem @New_Christendom @Chocolate_Knox @Brian_Sauve @DanBerkholder @Eric_Conn I sent this to my congregation: Dear Puritans, Mr. Gavin Goddard has asked Miss Faith Reece to be his wife, and she has accepted his proposal. He is an excellent young man who has shown extraordinary thoughtfulness, diligence, and honor. I am so thankful to have him as a future son-in-law. I could not give Faith to a man unless he were as excellent as Gavin. The Lord provides wives and husbands to his saints. I am so thankful to have a daughter like Faith. None but the fair will draw the brave, and none but the brave deserve the fair.
For all of you who already knew through various means, I am now engaged to the most valorous and beautiful woman I know: Faith Reece!

Women should not vote. The Bible calls it a curse to be ruled by women. If a woman votes on the theory that she is simply supporting the rule of her husband, then she should submit her vote to him.
Why are we not calling this idea of men controlling their wive’s vote the abuse that it is? A husband does not have the right to either restrict/control his wife’s rights or bind their conscience. I don’t know how widespread this practice is, but it’s coercive abuse. Period.

Stop the cowardice. Being gay is sin. Sinful desire is sin. Sinful action is sin. Sinless perfection is having no sexual desire except for one’s spouse.
Is being gay a sin? Before we say anything else, please know that “being gay” doesn’t send anybody to hell. God uses only one fact to judge the world and determine who is saved and who isn’t: faith in Jesus Christ. Here’s the bad news: We all deserve to go to hell. But the good news is that God loves us in spite of our sin, and He sent His Son Jesus Christ to purchase our redemption. bit.ly/4kfkd1V

As a sponsor and friend of the men at both @CrossPolitic & @rightresponsem I do not believe it wise for either of them to platform @calvinrobinson without doing so in the context of debate & opposition. He is a heretic. Justification is by Grace Alone through faith alone in Christ alone. The worship of Mary by prayer and the rejection of the reformation and calling John Calvin’s Gospel and the Reformed Gospel heresy shows he is a wolf. It is hypocritical to call out @rightresponsem without holding the same standard for Moscow. Stop with the double standards. Many have expressed concern to me about me going to speak at the conference with the invitation of @calvinrobinson I intend to speak at the conference if Pastor Webbon will still have me. I honor him as a brave man who teaches much truth. I consider Pastor Joel Webbon a friend and I have discussed the Gospel with him at length and I believe we have the same Gospel. I would have advised him not to invite @calvinrobinson but I do not try to control the guests of the shows or conferences that I sponsor. I do not think it is sin for me to go to the conference and speak. I merely believe that both he and I should be clear in our opposition to the idolatry and heresy asserted by @calvinrobinson I love the men at @rightresponsem and @CrossPolitic I have serious disagreements with them and they with me about sacraments and worship, but if we are all brothers then we can all agree that calling the Gospel of Calvin (solas, TULIP, Trinity, Incarnation, Covenant Theology) heresy and the reformed gospel wrong, then that means @calvinrobinson has another Gospel and his Gospel, another Gospel, is heresy. It is unnecessary for everyone to go factional on everything. We must Apply equal weights and measures. We should all repent of failures to denounce when we had a duty and of failures of giving approval of false teachers when we had a duty no to.

Joel Webbon vindicated! If you spread the first report it is now your duty to share the correction. Do your duty.
Finding yourself caught in a conflict between parties who have both benefited you is terrible, and that’s the situation we created when we released a video regarding Tobias Riemenschneider and Joel Webbon. We regret this deeply. Our regret isn’t only due to the conflict it’s brought to the body of Christ, but also because we didn’t have all the facts. There may still be more information needed to resolve it fully. We recognize that our actions led to unnecessary slander and speculation against a fellow Christian pastor, Joel Webbon, and Covenant Bible Church. We repent and ask for forgiveness. The issues and facts in this situation are complex and private in nature. We hope for peace and resolution between the parties involved. For our part, we’ve decided to step back from this conversation, praying that everyone involved can continue to bless the body of Christ. @rightresponsem

“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.” - Ephesians 5:22-23 “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.” - Colossians 3:18 “But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.” - 1 Corinthians 11:3 “Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives.” - 1 Peter 3:1 “Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.” - 1 Peter 3:6 “That they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.” - Titus 2:4-5 “The heart of her husband safely trusts her; so he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.” - Proverbs 31:11-12 “one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence” 1 Timothy 3:4
The exegetical problem with the "husbands SHOULD rule over their wives" argument is that the woman's desire to lead her husband (Gen. 3:16) in the same verse is a sinful desire. Ergo, neither the wife's "desire" nor the husband's "rule" are meant positively in Gen. 3:16. Both stem from the fall. Gouge and other voices like him got much right, but this portrait of Christian marriage is flawed, and consequentially so. Husbands do not exercise godly rule over their wives--no sir. 1 Peter 3:1-7 calls for a wife's submission to her husband's headship, full stop. But this picture of marital authority and submission needs much fuller rounding out from the rest of Scripture. The husband has authority, but his wife is not inferior to him; she is not to obey him as a child obeys their parents; she submits to him as a full equal in Christ; his headship is always to be a gracious, non-severe, self-sacrificing, Christlike headship.

I disagree with one thing here. You do have a duty to defend him.
I get protesters at my house, voicemails filled with cursing and perversion left on my wife’s phone, and emails threatening the safety of my children. But the thing that truly does discourage me is discovering, again and again, how many “conservative” Christian leaders won’t even hesitate a moment to promote/RT a Leftist organization that watches all my sermons/podcasts and clips them out of context, rather than siding with the CLEAR TRUTH of Scripture. *If you’re a Christian, you don’t have any obligation to publicly defend me. But you really don’t have to give the Leftists extra mileage at the expense of your brother in Christ, merely to assure all your followers that you’re wise, mature, and reasonable. That’s something that I would only expect to BEE done by a pagan in BABYLON.

This makes the text non-sense. 11:6 - For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered. Does this mean: 1) For if a woman has no hair let her have no hair, but if it is shameful to have no hair let her have no hair? OR 2) For if a woman has no cloth covering, let her also have no hair, but if it is shameful for a woman to have no hair, then let her have a cloth covering.
On head coverings, I hold that a woman's long hair *is* her covering (1 Cor. 11:15). For support of this view, here are a few helpful resources. John MacArthur: gty.org/library/sermons-libr… Piper & Grudem (Q31): desiringgod.org/books/50-cru… Got Questions: gotquestions.org/head-coveri…

Christ’s Death was a Payment for sin debt. Who was the payment for? How much did it pay for? 1.Christ died for all the sins of all people: This would result in universal salvation, which Scripture denies. 2.Christ died for all the sins of some people: This aligns with the doctrine of limited atonement—that Christ died specifically for the elect. 3.Christ died for some of the sins of all people: This leaves no one saved because partial atonement cannot reconcile anyone to God. 4.Christ died for some of the sins of some people: This would also fail to save anyone fully. Conclusion: The only biblically and logically consistent view is that Christ died for all the sins of some people - the elect. This is the doctrine of limited (definite) atonement. God is satisfied with the payment for all of His elect. The sins of the reprobate have not been paid for. God will punish them directly. Credit to John Owen for his work to organize this argument.

I was recently asked by a young Patriarch who is considering moving to Phoenix to join our church: What is your vision for your church? Here was my answer: Church vision: Encourage the building of a Christian Enclave in Phoenix. Planting a new church with 100 households as soon as our church hits 300 households. Build out a strong local presbytery in this manner. Encourage men to lead their homes to be a good leader of wife and to be a good team with wife to put family worship into place and lead kids with catechizing and Christian education and build wealth and then bring the kids into that process. Help the wife to have a station of honor by having the kids honor and obey her and have her be able to minister to saints with hospitality alongside her husband. Focus the church on right doctrine, worship, and government. Structure: 1 elder per 10 households 1 deacon per elder Men training for deacon from 20-25 Deacon min age 25 Men training for elder 25-30 Elder min age 30 Men focus on leading homes - especially wife - wife focuses on leading children and helping to manage estate and hospitality/ministry of home as ambassador of husband. Men seek to get house in order and have resources to be able to enter public service in church and/or state. Ideal for man is to have an economically thriving house with godly wife and children where the woman has substantial domain to rule and the man has resources for public service and the children take on work and managerial responsibilities on estate as they get older and prepare as heirs. Daughters different than sons. Daughters getting prepped to marry and sons ready take a wife. Young marriage is good. Doctrine: Focus on deep knowledge of the Bible and the Historical advance of the church with the high watermark of the covenanted uniformity of the church at Westminster. Worship: Word read, Word preached, Word sung (Psalms), sacrament, prayer

Pastor Webbon is reasonable and helpful. Don’t tell anyone.
For the record @douglaswils (and anyone else who may be watching) here are some of my thoughts: 👇 I’m happy to set up a meeting between Tobias and myself. You and @HwsEleutheroi and @DrJoeBoot are warmly invited to join this meeting and provide whatever counsel you may have. First: I always like to start with my own sin: My comment about no one remembering Tobias’ name (which is probably true in the technical sense because his last name is quite difficult to pronounce) was wrong - I shouldn’t have said it. 1) I was “doing the meme” as the kids say (Troy movie/internet meme). My audience understood it, but the clip got pushed out to a much larger audience. 2) However, I was not merely “doing the meme.” There was seriousness in my tone. The comment came off to many as arrogant. And here’s the kicker, it came off as arrogant because it was arrogant. I didn’t just fumble my words (English happens to be my native tongue), I sinned. I hope Tobias will forgive me. And fortunately, the blood Christ isn’t so puny as to only cover mistakes. Christ’s blood actually covers real sins. It is a testimony to our belief in the true potency of Christ’s finished work when we can acknowledge our failures. I don’t have to attempt to categorize this as a mishap, because Jesus died for much more than mishaps. Second: I believe Tobias lied in at least one case, and left the door open in at least two other cases for thousands to assume terrible things about me and my church member that are categorically false. That said, I have no reason to believe this is a consistent mark of Tobias’ character. If he did this all the time, there would be room for serious concern (patterns really are sometimes helpful to watch out for), but I highly doubt this is the case. 1) Tobias is a pastor in Germany. WW2 is a sensitive topic for everyone, but especially for Germans. 2) The young man in my church used to be a member in Tobias’ church. I disagree with Tobias’ level of concern in this matter, but I recognize that Tobias is likely operating out of a “pastoral heart” (although I believe misdirected) towards a man he loves and shepherded for several years. In other words, I think Tobias’ assessment is exaggerated, but I do not think he is acting out of any malice. Furthermore, the one blatant lie from Tobias is difficult for me to see as a mishap. However, it is possible that the doors he left open for others to wrongly infer my views on things such as WW2 history and the children of interethnic marriage could have genuinely been a mistake, due to a language barrier (as a side note, a few of the interethnic couples in my church came up to me this past Sunday and had a good laugh about how surprised the bad faith actors would be if they ever visited our church). So I will simply say this: If English is not a strong suit for Tobias, perhaps a “platform in America” isn’t the best idea. Or at minimum, I would humbly suggest that if he continues (and for the record, I would support his continuation), perhaps debut episodes should not focus on hit pieces directed towards other Reformed ministers. Lastly: The “court” that I am simply refusing is any official council that would position itself to make an ecclesiastically binding determination about the member in my church. This decision belongs exclusively to my elders, deacons, and church members. So… Meetings for reconciliation - Yes. “Courts” for determining possible church discipline for my church member - Hard Pass. P.S. You continue to have my sincere appreciation. It never left. I only pray that it might be mutual.

Btw, you are obviously wrong. If they believed the God of Abraham they would believe Jesus.
Btw, (it is obviously true that) Christians and Muslims worship the same God.

I don’t know what exactly is happening now, but I have enjoyed building a friendship with Pastor Webbon. Whatever the context, this is good and Godly counsel.
A word of caution: It can be tempting to simply become what others accuse you of. Example: “Everyone is calling me an antisemite, so I might as well cultivate genuine hatred for Jews.” Don’t do it. It is sin. This temptation is from the Enemy. *Sadly, it is undoubtedly true that the Reformed world is uniquely uncharitable towards their own (I have participated in this myself, and have tried to make a conscious effort to do better over the past year). One of the primary reasons so many Reformed online platforms amount to little more than merely Discernment Ministries, is because it’s safe. In addition to being safe, it’s also effective. All you have to do is select someone higher up the food chain from yourself (someone the Reformed leaders have deemed acceptable to attack), and then pull them down to pull yourself up. The Reformed higher-ups will never condemn you for going after prosperity gospel preachers like Joel Osteen. You might even get a seat at the table. But if you go after ideologies, doctrines , and substance that are prevalent today (and have not yet been formally assigned to the chopping block by the Reformed guys in top leadership), you risk being crushed. This is precisely what happened with @PerfInjust. Regardless, it doesn’t matter. Ask yourself, whose opinion am I living for? If men say you are hateful, and the opinions of men were all that mattered, then you might as well lean into it. But it’s God’s opinion that matters. To all the young men who follow my ministry, I’m encouraging you not to become the monster people try to say you are. Fear God. Don’t become jaded. By God’s grace, I promise not to either.

Men who wear hats during the public assembly are directly dishonoring Christ. It is forbidden. “Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.”

No nation will long remain civilized if it does not publicly execute criminals who commit the most heinous of crimes - capital crimes. It is not possible to be more civilized than God’s Law. True Civilization is the byproduct the teaching of the Scriptures and the application of the Law of God.
No civilized nation needs the death penalty. His death doesn’t bring these innocents back to life. Life in prison is enough.

But brother, you are not a heretic, but he is. He rejects the Gospel and says John Calvin is a heretic and the reformed Gospel is wrong. We must be clear about this though it cost us all friends.
Yesterday: “All the speakers at your conference are white. You guys are Nazis!” Today: “You got a brown guy speaking. Guess we’ll have to settle for just calling you heretics.” Me:

Covenant is the Biblical organizing principle for duties. Blood and soil are not. Covenant over family line. Covenant over geography. The King of the Covenant will conquer all bloodlines and all soils. Blood and soil will all come under the rule of Christ.

The whole list must be opposed, including Rome. There can be no alliance with Rome, Only whoredom with her, enslavement by her OR Freedom from & victory over her. No alliance with any enemy of the King.
It’s 2025. If you’re a Protestant who thinks Catholics are the biggest enemy, you are a fool. All of Western civilization is… Invaded by Muslims Captured by Jews Perverted by sodomites Ruled by women Our civilization is collapsing. Get a clue.

Want to thank @Brian_Sauve , @DanBerkholder , @Eric_Conn For helpful advice the other day about how in the early days of a church you have to lean on your wife too much and then as you grow and get sufficient officers you have start protecting her from Problems more and relieving her from weight. Very helpful practical advice about pastoral ministry and care for my wife. They have gone further than me and they were able to help me see how to advance more and be better in leadership of my wife and church.

Someone said I was peaking out of both sides of my mouth for calling @calvinrobinson a heretic while also going to speak at the @rightresponsem conference - Here was my reply: Speaking at a conference is not the same thing as approving of everything at it. There is a greater responsibility for the person who controls the conference - I am addressing that. My goal is to communicate truth there. Further, It is disingenuous to say that the men their are racist. they all believe in equality under law and in human nature. I would go to a conference thrown by the Pope for the chance of sharing the Gospel there and for the chance to call Him antichrist. Pastor Webbon has the right Gospel. He has invited a speaker that I think is a heretic. That is not sin in itself, but how he treats the man and what he does to deal with errors from the man are part of the duties he carries and he bears that responsibility. I ma not obligated to sperate from Pastor Webbon if I disagree with all of his associations. Life is messy and hard, but I am trying to apply standards in an equal way and call out all alike with equal weights and measures.

This is preposterous. Tyranny and rights defined by the Law of God. The husband has a far more extensive right to rule his house than the state has to rule its people. The head of house can command small tasks and matters of preference. He has the right and responsibility to organize the economic activities and work of his house. He has the right to order it aesthetically. He has the duty to arrange for the education of his children. He has the duty to see his household go to church and join in family worship. He has the duty to get food on table and the right to organize the time and space of his household. The state is limited to punishing crimes, waging just war, and nightwatchman / boarder guard activities. If someone does not see that the state has a far less extensive right to control our lives than do patriarchs then that person has no idea what the Bible teaches about the state and the household.
DEFY TYRANTS. If you own a coffee mug, t-shirt, or laptop sticker emblazoned with that clever slogan, you need to think carefully--as we all do--about how those (biblically sound) limits on submission to a tyrannical state relate to limits on submission to a tyrannical husband.

Right wing Watch hates the Bible. “As a ring of gold in a swine’s snout, So is a lovely woman who lacks discretion.” Proverbs 11:22
Misogynistic Christian nationalist pastor Joel Webbon used his Sunday sermon to tell women that God expects them to be quiet in all regards: "Like a golden ring in the snout of a pig, so too it is with a woman who is not modest."
