🇧🇩 #Bangladesh: Clashes have erupted after tens of thousands of textile workers have gone on strike. Many of the workers work for major Western brands, and are demanding to have their low wages tripled. At least 300 factories have been shut down as a result of the strikes thus far.

🇮🇪 #Ireland: Riots have broken out in Dublin's North Inner City after three young children, a man, and a woman were stabbed by a knife-wielding assailant in the Parnell Square area earlier today. The attack took place as children were lining up to go into a creche for an after-school club. A five-year-old girl received emergency medical treatment at the scene of the attack while a woman in her 30s also sustained serious injuries.
The attacker is currently in police custody with reports that the man is an Algerian national.
Riot police have been deployed to quell the unrest in the area. Tensions around immigration in that part of the city have been high since spate of protests erupted last year over the housing of migrants in a disused office building.

🇹🇭 #Thailand - 🇰🇭 #Cambodia: Armed clashes broke out between Thailand and Cambodia along a disputed area of their border earlier this morning, with both sides accusing each other of firing the first shots after weeks of tensions.
In a press release, the Thai military spokesperson stated that Cambodian troops had opened fire near the Ta Moan Thom temple, with a Cambodian drone surveilling the area before the contingent moved in with heavy weapons.
Just two days ago, tensions flared up again after three Thai soldiers were wounded (with one losing a foot) due to a mine supposedly planted by the Cambodian military.

🇩🇪 #Germany: Activists from Palestine Action have broken into the Elbit Systems weapons factory in Ulm, dismantling tools which are used to manufacture weapon systems that are then sent to the Israeli army.
The Ulm factory, is owned by Israel's biggest weapons producer, manufactures both conventional and unmanned weaponry (drones) and designs software used for target acquisition (radar systems, thermal imagery etc).
Previously, in August, activists tried to block the entrance of the factory, setting up a protest camp.

#Iran: Videos of women burning their hijabs have began to circulate as protests against the killing of Jina Amini spread across the country. Jina was a 22-year old Kurdish woman brutally killed by morality police for showing too much of her hair.
🇲🇲 #Myanmar: Anti-junta militia fighters in Sagaing province have released footage of a recent ambush against a junta convoy. The fighters claim to have killed 20 soldiers as a result, and captured 49. The soldiers were reportedly being driven to a basic training camp from a regional headquarters.

🇰🇭 #Cambodia: A mine-detecting rat named Ronin has set a new world record for being the first rodent to detect over 100 land mines and other unexploded munitions. Ronin’s performance far surpassed the previous record set by another rat named Magawa, who was awarded a gold medal of heroism for finding 71 mines. Cambodia has long struggled with unexploded munitions in the wake of the country’s 20-year civil war, with an estimated four to six million munitions remaining.
