Apologies to the people in South Norfolk about to receive letters with Peppa Pig stamps on them.
When the GE is called and spending limits are about to kick in you have to take whatever the local Post Office can give you!
Completely right from @NextGenTories. Yes we lost votes to Reform, but we lost an awful lot to Labour and the Lib Dems too. We won't be a successful party again unless we can offer working-age people better life prospects
Over the coming weeks we’ll set out our case for where the Conservative Party must go next.
The scale of the defeat means Conservatives can no longer attempt to double down on the pensioner vote alone.
A short thread on how we win young people back, and why it matters 🧵
Very proud of David Simister-Thomas being selected to be the Conservative candidate in Norwich South at the next General Election
#VoteConservative@NorwichTories
Congratulations to @BenGoldsborough on winning South Norfolk, who I'm sure will do a very good job.
Thank you to all the Conservatives who campaigned, and who gave me their vote. I look forward to being part of rebuilding our party, and earning back voters' trust
Thanks to a fantastic team out talking to voters in Saxlingham and Swardeston in the sun yesterday, and particular thanks to @DCBMEP and @dianabarran for your help! 🌞
A great week’s campaigning across South Norfolk - surveys going out this week in Poringland, Queen’s Hills, Stoke Holy Cross, Thurlton, Hethersett, Tacolneston, and today Gillingham 💙
We need a better answer for why young people should be Conservatives - I'm glad @NextGenTories are campaigning for cheaper housing, making work pay, and making it more affordable to have children, to make Conservatism work for younger people
Out with @Conservatives teams across S Wymondham and Mulbarton & Stoke Holy Cross this morning, campaigning for Martyn Lemon and @Tonyholden9 in Thursday’s by-elections
#VoteConservative
Huge congratulations to @SalomonSoup on your selection as the @Conservatives candidate for Norwich North! Looking forward to campaigning and working together 💙
I will not shut up. I will not be silenced by men who prioritise applause from Stonewall over the safety of women and girls.
A rich, lefty, white male celebrity so blinded by ideology he can’t see the optics of attacking the only black woman in government by calling publicly for my existence to end…..(1/2)
Really worthwhile discussion with the Home Secretary @JamesCleverly today on rural crime - lots being done to make sure rural crime is a police priority, with 269 more police hired in Norfolk since 2019, and new legislation on hare coursing and livestock worrying
Thank you to a fantastic team out talking to voters across South Norfolk over the past few days.
And thank you to my Mum, who I discovered had done all my ironing when I finally got back in 🥰
Massive team out in Mid Bedfordshire today, for the final few days of campaigning for @FestAKINBUSOYE (including my experienced delivery assistant)
#VoteConservative
Very proud to be part of the organising team for yesterday’s Eastern Region Conference. A fantastic turnout from right across East Anglia, to discuss campaigning, policy, crime, Conservatism, and women’s rights
#VoteConservative
Really good to meet with Defence Secretary @grantshapps yesterday to talk about what our 2.% GDP defence spending commitment will mean in practice (as well as get some campaigning tips from one of the @Conservatives' most energetic campaigners!)
Final election addresses going out in Cherry Hinton for Zachary Marsh - and finally starting to look like spring 🌸
@CambridgeTories@cwowomen@CWOEastern
Late afternoon in Costessey delivering our leaflet on the Norwich Western Link. Fantastic that the Conservative government is funding over £200m towards the cost
#VoteConservative
Extra early dawn raid in King’s Hedges to be back to get my son up and go to work. Vote Delowar Hossain today to say no to the Labour and Lib Dem congestion charge
#VoteConservative@CambridgeTories@CWOEastern
Out yesterday supporting Charles Easton, @Conservatives candidate for Thursday’s Bunwell by-election - thanks to all from @ConservativesSN who came to help!
Thank you to @WyHighAcademy for hosting an excellent South Norfolk hustings. It was great to have the opportunity to make the case for Conservatism here and in Westminster.
Credit to student Tom for the photography through the evening!
🚨 Government has announced an end to leasehold for new homes.
📣 A win for NGT and many others calling for a move to freehold.
🏡 This will mean genuine homeownership for new owners. Your house, no one else’s.

Terrible and entertaining to read @SouthCambs 's report on their 4-day week trial. Why on earth were these "productivity improvements" not things they were doing already?! Knowing what you're supposed to do, not wasting times in meeting, and concentrating... 🧐
@SCambsTories
Good to be in Hethersett this morning, meeting with Persimmon to discuss progress on the new GP surgery. I’m determined we get it built and working to make it easier for people locally to see a Doctor
Great morning yesterday kicking off Martyn Lemon’s campaign in the South Wymondham by-election.
Martyn is a hard working, long-standing resident of Spooner Row, and would be a powerful voice for local people #voteconservative@ConservativesSN@cwowomen@CWOEastern
On Friday I attended a powerful art exhibiting organized by @PylonsEAnglia, highlighting the terrible impact @nationalgrid's proposed Norwich-Tilbury pylons will have on our local environment. An integrated offshore grid is a better, cheaper and more environmental option
We did a Bump and Baby class rather than NCT, and our tutor skipped over the section on post-natal depression because she said it was 'too miserable to think about'
Sunny weekend out campaigning in Mulbarton. Thanks to @cwowomen , @CWOEastern for your help, and the campaigners also out in Framingham Earl and Queen's Hills! 💙
Good to be out in the sun in Mulbarton talking to people today. Lots of really positive conversations. A few people have brought up drainage and ditch clearance issues, and I’m working with our Councillors to make sure these are sorted.
I've signed the @PylonsEAnglia Great Grid election pledges. The Norwich-Tilbury pylon scheme will cause huge damage to the beautiful countryside of South Norfolk. There is a better way to decarbonise our energy system.
Really good to see today's ONS data showing real wages growing for the 10th consecutive month. There's further to go, but the economy's going in the right direction. ons.gov.uk/employmentandlabo…
Good afternoon listening to local people in Thurlton today
(and particular thanks to my parents for helping to keep my toddler entertained)
#ToryCanvass#VoteConservative
Today is polling day!
Vote Conservative in South Norfolk today, for an MP who can stand up for your values and priorities, and stop the Labour supermajority.
Some great ideas from @NextGenTories for how to make Conservatism work for working-age people again. This has to be part of our plan for the next decade
We are releasing our proposals for the Conservative Manifesto - Making it easier to buy a home, start a family and keep more of what you earn - these policies are essential for the Conservative's to win the support of working age people.
Hear what Director of Policy, @JoshSmithNGT, has to say:

Good news for farmers from @SteveBarclay today
🌳 average 10% increase in payments for environmental land management schemes
🇬🇧 fast consultation on better food labelling
📄 streamlined applications for support, reducing paperwork

Traditional English outfit of sunglasses and a rain coat for our Eve of poll canvassing in King’s Hedges tonight. Really great support for Delowar Hossain to defeat Labour and their congestion charge

Excellent afternoon's campaigning in Cringleford this afternoon, delivering our cross-South Norfolk survey.
If you've not already received one, you can also reply online here: snwvca.org.uk/southnorfolk 📨
Today's trans guidance is a good first step protecting children's single sex spaces, and protecting children from making irreversible decisions they later regret. It has been no small task for @GillianKeegan and @KemiBadenoch to get to this point
This month:
✔️ National Insurance cut for workers
✔️ 15 hours of free childcare for 2-year olds
✔️ National Living Wage increasing to £11.44 per hour
✔️ State pension increasing
✔️ Energy price cap lowered
Very wet afternoon knock-up but encouraging to see so much support for Delowar Hossain, and opposition to the Labour and Lib Dem congestion charge in King’s Hedges
#VoteConservative
Lovely to join the (slightly wet) Wymondham in Bloom team this morning, to water and tidy up some of the planters. They’re looking lovely in spite of the weather. Thank you for having me!
Yesterday I was in Wymondham catching up with Cllr Robert Savage. We talked about improving access to and surroundings at Wymondham station, and supporting town centre businesses, while being good guardians of taxpayer money
Super (/freezing cold!) day in Meppershall with Blake Stephenson, talking to residents about road quality and overdevelopment #MidBeds@CWOEastern@cwowomen
This afternoon I stopped by the Hempnall Christmas Bazaar in Topcroft. The event hasn’t happened in recent years so it was great to see so many people enjoying it. The goats were a particular hit! 🎄🐐
On Friday I visited the National Grid's consultation on the S Norfolk leg of the damaging Norwich-Tilbury pylon plans. The consultation is open until 18th June - make sure you respond here:

New: The Guardian has seen internal Labour documents, confirmed by senior sources, which scope radical changes to capital gains and inheritance tax:

Yesterday I was in London, talking through the newly-launched @ConRuralForum manifesto. This is full of good policy ideas to support rural communities like those in South Norfolk 🌳
conservativeruralforum.org.u…
We will reform Child Benefit to move to a system of household taxation - a tax cut worth an average £1,500 a year, and an end to the penalisation of families where one parent stays a home.
Thank you, @1GeorgeFreeman for all of your hard work for Wymondham over many years. I look forward to building on all that you've done, and working together to represent our fantastic Norfolk communities in Parliament
The commitment from @SteveBarclay to protect single-sex care in the NHS is testament to the relentless work of @CforWomenUK and many others in the party
Powerful protest against the Norwich-Tilbury pylons yesterday organised by @PylonsEAnglia . This plan will destroy pristine countryside right across South Norfolk and needs to be stopped
