Kagurabachi; releasing it's 1st chapter in WSJ-Issue #42 (not next week, the one after that).
"A future that will open up with a sword? A boy named Jihiro who longs for his sword-smith father, one day...?"
Could this baller ass katana dude be the future of Shonen Jump? 🤔
All this mangaka drama and I just gotta remind y'all of the goat with a FLAWLESS 1 YEAR RECORD
- No controversy
- No fanservice
- No questionable comments
- No misses in chapter quality
>Write an 8+ year long story about an incompetent loser who cant amount to anything
>Gets haircut that looks suspiciously like the same one the author has
>Character is now suddenly confident, mature & a likeable human being
What did Reijitler mean by this?
Italian illustrator for various Marvel & DC Comics, Gabriele Dell'Otto drew a variant cover for the italian edition's 5th volume's release and it is a fucking stunner.
You're making a disingenous argument to say that people who know say "fan-service" don't know its talking about (THAT) kind of fanservice. But yeah, 100% Chihiro using Mei: Shred is the peak of fanservice for this series.
A shonentard's honest thoughts about Sousou no Frieren, and its thematic strong suits and narrative genius (after watching the first 12 episodes)
A thread you might find interesting 🧵
#ONEPIECE1103 Saturn mentions that Bonney's fruit can transform into (anything), as long as the knowledge for it's true shape is known. Meaning if Bonney knows the true shape of Nika, she can go Gear 5.
Joyboy & Jollygirl 🔜🔝
Kagurabachi's leak culture while being the literal spark of what made this series become what it is; has always been held in tight confinement in specific servers, channels and Discord groups (names will not be dropped)
Bringing them onto Twitter like JJK will create disaster.
I'm not one to care for the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, but if Frieren doesn't win Anime of The Year 2024 I think it'd be the biggest slap in the face to all the incredible staff at Madhouse who produced this masterpiece of a series. Caught up to the anime, can't wait to see more..

Ignoring the KKK meet-up happening in the replies, it is interesting to think how VIZ seems to prioritize worldwide accessibility in terms of translation, yet went full on chronically online valley girl for Ichi the Witch specifically.
Are there actually people who like both My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen and Black Clover without having to constantly compare them? Feels like a rarity to me..
Black Clover will go down in history as one of the worst managed best-selling WSJ IPs of all time because how the fuck do you celebrate a 10th year anniversary and have nothing to show for it. No official tweet, no anime trailer, no author message, no NOTHING. Just, empty.
*wakes up in a hospital after having a heart attack*
>"You know Chihiro, I think that heart attack was meant to tell you... quit gambling"
"I can't quit. I've lost too much, I can't even count, I've lost track of it all"
>...."ok"
*hands him $5,000 and tells him to go gamble*
Talking about this video: because the arguments while solid at first glance, fall apart when you look at the framework of Kagurabachi (and the pre-established concepts and ideals that support it)
🧵
I dont think anyone understands just how insane it is that Horikoshi WANTS TO LEARN from Hokazono's flat-coloring style.
This is a mangaka 2 years into serialization, inspiring literal veterans to become better in their craft. That's not Kaguramotion, thats that Hokazono Honey.
If there's one card remaining in a deck of cards and you know what card it is: it doesnt matter how many times the deck resets, the final card will always stay the same
Last thing I'll say about this leaker fiasco is:
If you want to showcase yourself as an actual fan of the series, maybe dont call it "kagura"? Because literally nobody does. And while I've never used this word in my life, calling the series 'Kagura' makes you look like a tourist
Fucking demon slayer fans complaining about literal 10/10 animation; VFX, sound design, OST, voice acting, storyboarding and incredibly emotional story beat, and here I was watching this scene NOT EVEN NOTICING THE BAD ANIMATION
#BCSpoilers Before I have to witness a whole week's worth of Kishimoto fans saying Tabata copied yet another subplot; your mangaka got inspired by the same japanese myth related concept for his own eye powers, don't try to start shit
Takeru's author note for this week:
"I just suddenly remembered this, but I think Shiba's model was based on Brad Pitt from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood"
Handing out free blocks to anyone calling this "just like what happened with HxH" ... Hokazono has had to work on a volume cover, a color page, a magazine cover for next week AND a lead color page to boot. This isn't a health issue, its an overworked scheduling nightmare.
Horikoshi just straight up said "Kagurabachi, please go for atleast 43 volumes and become longer than the MHA!" while Hokazono is very clearly suffering the worst he ever has before.
I don't ever post leaks yet this is far too heartwarming not to share in advance:
Hokazono's author comment for this issue:
"Thanks to all of you, we've reached the triple digits! Truly, It is thanks to you. Nothing but you!”
Kaedegami by Jun Harukawa has ended this week with Chapter 17 in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #47.
Series will be releasing Volume 1 on November 4th and Final Volume 2 on December 4th, 2025.
