Officers Ayres and Tejeda from the 6th District 5 squad recovered these two illegal firearms during a car stop. This stop resulted in two arrests, including one wanted for previous carjackings. Great job.
Sadly, on 06-20-23, P/O Billy Seifert passed after a long, courageous battle against cancer. He had nearly 28 years of service and was a staple of the 6th District. He did so much for the community and was loved dearly by his coworkers. Rest in peace - job well done.

On 03-23-23, 6th District officers arrested a prolific catalytic converter theft offender in PSA 1 where several similar incidents have recently occurred. Good teamwork and great job!

Early this morning, 6th District officers rapidly responded to an alarm at a pizza shop and were able to apprehend an offender. This was similar to an event which occurred yesterday morning. Great job by P/O Graner!
On 6/7/2022 approximately 8:55pm, 6th district officers were on patrol in the area of 804 n 10th st. When they observed defendant, who was wanted on an active warrant, as officers approached male, he fled & discarded a .9mm Glock handgun. Gun was recovered & defendant arrested.

On 02-21-23, P/Os Frysiek and Putro observed a Hyundai Elantra being driven with broken windows, consistent with a recent surge in stolen autos. They ascertained the vehicle was stolen and arrested the offenders. Great job!

PO Leonard was patrolling in the area of 100 Fairmount Avenue in reference to several recent thefts from auto. He was able to apprehend an individual who broke into several cars. Great job!

6th district community relations team making their annual toiletries gift bags for the moms in our area shelters for Mother’s Day. Items were donated by PDAC members and Officers.
6th district officers Carpenter, Henry & Turner were down to the last stack of school bags to hand out while out and about today.They also donated some to the Helping Hand Rescue Mission to give to the community they help. Great job PPD working together within your community 💙
A big thank you to Arts and Crafts Holdings who helped us with our backpack drive. So far Officers Carpenter and Witherspoon gave bags to West Poplar Apts. and the Family Health Center, who will Distribute them to the children. Bags also have masks and hand sanitizers.

The job/resource fair was a huge success thanks to our partners. Nearly 300 youth obtained working papers, Municipal IDs, and sealed the deal on employment opportunities while learning about free summer activities!
Today the 6th and the 9th police districts came together for a mural dedication to 3 of our fallen officers, Officer Daniel Faulkner, Officer Thomas Trench and Officer Stephen Dmytryk, inside the Roll Call room. We were honored to have family members of each Officer in attendance

Great day for a summer block party in Chinatown with PPD and PFD along with councilman Squilla, coming together with the community. Thanks to the Greater Philadelphia Asian American Lions Club.
6th District P/O’s Carpenter and Diggins handed out hats, scarfs, gloves and socks thanks to PDAC, to the homeless at Rosa’s pizza 25 S. 11th st. Monetary donation made also towards pizza for all.
