100 Ordinal Punks - minted within the first 650 inscriptions on Bitcoin. Paying homage to @cryptopunks, created with PunksNotDead open-source algorithm
There was a certain time during ordinals where you had to put in a lot of work to acquire projects and there was not a lot of information.
those that took the time to learn about a new technology and were open minded were rewarded massively.

Ordinal punks at one point were 15% of all inscriptions on Bitcoin (14 days ago). Now we are only 0.1% of all inscriptions.

The spreadsheet by @robinhoodslaye1 will go down as a big defining moment in the history of Ordinals.
It was a time when we saw Ordinal Punks being traded for hundreds of thousands of dollars all over OTC before any marketplace infra was built.
cool recursive Ordinals demo: this @OrdinalPunks viewer is an inscription that loads an inscription of the metadata that then loads an inscription of the ord punk image itself.
This is huge.
Recursive Inscriptions are a way for users to easily piece together an inscription and not have to worry as much about the size limit.
Possibilities are endless
Have you seen any of these punks lurking around your discords? The @OrdinalPunks discord has been active the past few days with discussion surrounding the mint of D.I.Y. Punks - the first collection deployed using the Generative Art #ORC721 Protocol.

After all 100 Ordinal Punks were minted out, people wanted to get their hands on some but no marketplace existed.
Some @Squanchland members came in and recommended a OTC service via the discord. @robinhoodslaye1 created a spreadsheet which matched bids and asks.
(1/2) Although inscribing metadata is not a great verifiable way to give traits and attributes to an inscription (it's still trust-based ex: Which metadata inscription is the right one), would love to see projects adopt a JSON standard for metadata so that marketplaces can ...

Still spots left. Come join the discord if you'd like to mint
The spreadsheet is forever an artwork that is part of Ordinal Punks.
We see most volume now happening through @MagicEden@ordinalswallet and @OrdinalsMarket_
We have something in the works for Ordinal Punks trading that's coming soon as well👀
Some community members came in and built on top of this spreadsheet and used it as a backend. We saw Paradox (known as Chicag0x) and 0xelric_eth build a interface that scraped the spreadsheet and used it to visualize a market for Ordinal Punks.
Through this, Ordinal Punks had traded more than $5m+ in volume over the first month of their existence.
If that doesn't show the amount of early innovators in our community, I don't know what does.
Could be but also could be an annoying twitter auto system. For example our page is search banned. As punk derivatives ourselves we love to see other people experimenting with derivatives/homages to punks. Nothin but love ❤️
Yea haha, I understand. Just was a crazy reminder that it’s only been 6 months even tho it feels like we’ve lived through years of the ordinals protocol
