One thing we couldn’t get to work when we made the demo was a way to get sonic to roll on the floor within the one button limitation. We did later come up with a solution though when we were experimenting in Super Leap Day. Goop here rolls as long as you hold down. Works well!

Most animation in #superleapday is traditional frame based but not all of it. Larger background elements like this beetle tank are made in Spine. This was suited to the task as the objects were typically large in scale highly textured and slow moving.
