Following an investigation by FBI New York, a man was sentenced to the maximum penalty of six months in prison for sexually assaulting a woman aboard an aircraft. The FBI and our partners will continue to investigate these crimes, pursue justice for victims, and help ensure the safety and security of all travelers.

Today, FBI New York, @EDNYnews, IRS - Criminal Investigation New York Office, and New York City Department of Investigation announced an indictment charging Frank Carone, Anthony Carone, Crystal Chen, and Yan Pao Zhu for their roles in an alleged bribery scheme that capitalized on funding meant to address New York City's migrant crisis. The charges include fraud, bribery, money laundering, obstruction of justice, and tax fraud.

Today, @TheJusticeDept announced the results of the National Health Care Fraud Takedown, charging 455 defendants in connection with more than $6.5 billion in alleged fraud schemes.
Following an investigation by FBI New York and @EDNYnews, charges were brought against eight defendants for their role in a $38 million fraud on New York Medicaid for social adult day care services that were medically unnecessary, procured by kickbacks to marketers and beneficiaries, and never provided. Although the permitted occupancy of the social adult day cares (shown below) was only 30 people, the defendants fraudulently submitted claims for services provided to hundreds of beneficiaries per day.

Following an investigation by FBI New York and @SDNYnews, Chase Harris pled guilty yesterday to participating in a conspiracy to commit money laundering based on his role in laundering proceeds from an IT fraud scheme that targeted elderly victims and resulted in the theft of more than $1.2 million from approximately 25 known victims across the United States.
