We’d like to start off by expressing our gratitude and unwavering support to the Cosmic community. At all times you have stood strong with us as we remain committed to our mission of innovation, transparency and serving our trusting community.
Open collaboration is the foundation of crypto and DeFi and while we have built on open-source foundations, we’ve also developed a fresh codebase with innovative features. As part of our commitment to this once we are in full production we will be making this open-source and publishing our GitHub and we are road-mapped to meet or exceed the ISO/IEC standards.
While we initially leveraged Sentinel's open-source code to kickstart certain functionalities, Cosmic has since invested significant time, effort, and expertise in building a platform that is uniquely our own.
We have taken the adequate steps to provide credit to the initial open-source developers which we have done this week via our website and also updating the builds for our apps accordingly to reflect this and meet full licensing requirements for Open Source software. This was an oversight to not include from the start, however our intention was always to acknowledge and provide this credit once we were in full production and made public via GitHub.
We want to make it clear we have no intention of undermining any other project, nor do we condone spreading negativity. Our focus is on building, innovating and contributing positively to the ecosystem. False accusations or malicious actions aimed at harming our reputation and/or customers/holders will be met with appropriate measures. We stand by our commitment to productive dialogue, and we will not be deterred from our mission.
To our loyal supporters, thank you for standing by us. Together, we’ll continue moving forward with resilience, integrity, and the shared goal of advancing the space.
