Ain't no mom like a baseball mom!
Happy Mother’s Day! It’s hard to play baseball without a great mom to support you so thanks to all the moms out there!
@nsaahome @nsaaevents Guys don’t blow this one. Move the times back for the Class A baseball final. The reason the tourney was screwed up in the first place is because you weren’t prepared with a tarp at Sherman. Throw high school baseball a bone and move the games to Omaha.
Congratulations, Coach Archer! On behalf of the Metro and Heartland Baseball Conferences, Nebraska High School Baseball welcomes the Kearney Bearcat Baseball program and wishes them luck in their inaugural season!
Exited to announce the hiring of longtime Legion, KHS Coach & Retired Teacher Brad Archer to lead the 1st ever Bearcat Baseball Team. Coach Archer brings 38 (34 as head) yrs of coaching exp. & 5 Legion State Championships into the inaugural season for the Bearcats. @Loofe33
1. Prep - Coach Mooney has nice nucleus returning that wants to leave their legacy. Phillips and Richter, best battery in the state. This program has won back-to-back state titles and they are going to be at the top of our rankings until another program proves us different.
20 years as a Maverick.
A steward of the game.
A coach, a mentor and a friend.
We thank longtime assistant coach Chris Gadsden, who has stepped down to spend more time with family after two decades of service. ⚫️🔴⚾️

3. Westside – This was a young team that showed everyone a lot at the 2017 State Tournament. We anticipate Coach Greco’s squad to build on their runner-up finish last spring and be right in the hunt for the school’s 9th title.
6. Burke – We’ll probably be kicking ourselves in May by ranking these guys sixth, but that’s just how Coach Hodges and his ace Hunter Waugh would probably want it. These guys are going to be a handful.
2. - Millard West – Burling, Gomes and Young will give teams fits this year. They have the arms and will have enough offense to make a serious run at the school’s first state title.
@MPattersonOWH Mike we heard different. Sherman at 9:00 am. tomorrow. NSAA has made a debacle out of this. There’s no reason the time should not be pushed back to make it a memorable experience for players and fans. It’s an absolute joke and @nsaahome should be embarrassed.
#nebpreps Still waiting to hear where that Class A final between Millard South and Millard West will be played tomorrow at 9 a.m. ... either Haymarket or Sherman (Werner Park not an option). ⚾️
4. Papillion-Lavista – Very impressive run during summer, winning 2017 American Legion State Championship & berth at regionals. They will be right in the thick of things with solid group returning, led by Caleb Feekin and Caiden Hill.
#4 Burke vs. #5 Lincoln SW – Both these teams are the real deal and are playing good baseball right now. LSW arguably has the strongest rotation in the state but we feel the Bulldogs’ Hunter Waugh will bounce back after a rocky start in the district final. Burke 4, Lincoln SW 2
