Harvey Bernard Gantt was the first Black student to enroll at @ClemsonUniv earning a degree in architecture. In 1970, Gantt was awarded a master’s degree from @MIT. Grantt went on to become a successful architect and in 1983, he became the first Black Mayor of Charlotte, NC.

Dr. Walter Braithwaite was born in Jamaica and received his degree in engineering in 1966. He joined @Boeing that same year and went on to developed CAD/CAM systems for Boeing, which led the way for airplanes & eventually many other products designed entirely through software!
